Dark Angel Medical Deploys HEDR 2.0 Vehicle IFAK

Dark Angel Medical is happy to announce they’ve upgraded the original HEDR  (Headrest Emergency Deployment Rig) Trauma Kit. The updated HEDR 2.0 trauma kits are now better designed to withstand the shock of offroading and backroad travel.

The NHTSA and CDC advise 2 million + people are injured every year in a vehicle accident. Thousands more are killed (34,000 in 2017 and 36,000 in 2019, for example). This makes traffic-related fatalities the third most common non-health-related cause of death in the United States.

Knowing these numbers, why wouldn’t you have something in your vehicle to deal with trauma? Why avoid life’s adventures just because they’re riskier than staying home? With this upgrade, you can be as prepared off-road as you are on. 

We road-tested the HEDR in the mountains of our Colorado HQ and decided it was time for an upgrade. There’s a new retention strap to keep it securely mounted to the headrest. Additional straps inside the kit to keep individual contents firmly in place and accessible if an emergency interrupts your day  – saving you precious seconds if you need to access them.

The HEDR is available in Black, Coyote Tan, or Wolf Grey.

Fourfold Improvement in WNDSN Telemeter Accuracy

BERLIN, 2021-10-14 – WNDSN Applied Sciences Lab presents a significant update to their main product, a new sighting scale that improves the Telemeter accuracy by 400%. The WNDSN Telemeter is a low-tech, naked-eye distance measuring instrument based on comparing the triangle between our eye and a scale with the triangle between our eye and the object in question.

In response and in collaboration with users who report problems in sighting accuracy due to the fixed distance between eye and scale that the Telemeter operation requires, WNDSN has developed a new sighting scale inspired by surveyor’s instruments with scale marks in E shape.

For the new sighting scale blocks instead of lines are used as scale marks, filling every other pair of lines with a solid color. This change increases the width of the smallest element which the user can visually discern from 0.25 mm to 1 mm — yielding a fourfold increase in legibility.

To introduce this improved scale, it has been added to the Night Ops Telemeter, which is already optimized for enhanced visibility in the dark. A bestseller ever since its release, the Night Ops Telemeter is a going-back-to-the-roots, bare bones Telemeter in clear acrylic.

The WNDSN Telemeter upgrade is designed to help people with short-sightedness or other visual impairment but it also increases accuracy for users who have no issues sighting with the original scale.

Noble CNC Foregrip

Noble CNC’s Foregrip is now available. The Foregrip is machined from 6061 aluminum and features knurled gripping surfaces. It is M-LOK compatible and can be mounted facing either direction to allow the user’s preference for an angled or vertical grip. The grips are anodized charcoal grey and come with mounting hardware.
