Don’t be lulled asleep by a Republican in the Oval Office. Now, more than ever, your God-given rights are under attack; viewed as a bargaining chip in a game of “4D Chess”. This is the time to join the fight.
Here’s how you can get involved…
Contact your representatives. Your federal, state, and local representatives and elected officials won’t know how important the Bill of Rights is to YOU unless YOU tell them. Here is a helpful resource for contacting all of your elected officials: USA.gov
Put your money where your mouth is. There are still some great Second Amendment advocacy groups that are fighting for your rights instead of bargaining them away and using your money effectively. Consider joining or donating to a group like the Gun Owners of America or the Firearms Policy Coalition.
Don’t forget about your local and state firearms groups as well. Many states have their own groups that fight to protect the right to keep and bear arms at the state level.
Stand up in your own community. Look for rallies and other gatherings that support your rights and show up. If your state gun rights advocacy group is speaking in your area, show up. Prepare yourself to engage friends and neighbors in conversation respectfully as a voice of reason. Organize a range night for your group at church. Do something.
The Second Amendment is perhaps the boldest expression of freedom contained in the Bill of Rights. It is the protector of the First Amendment and the hinge on which the other enumerated rights swing. Do not let it go easily.
