Custom 10/22 Magazine Pouch from Oneiros Valley

Oneiros Valley recently showed this very slick, custom 10/22 magazine pouch that is designed to retain and protect 4 of Ruger’s iconic BX-1 rotary magazines. It is a simple, MOLLE compatible, clamshell design that features 4 internal elastic loops to hold the magazines.

The genius of this pouch is it that it can be useful for more than just 10/22 magazines. The design would lend itself well to use as a general purpose pouch that could carry a compass, GPS, chapstick, or other small gear that you want handy when it isn’t carrying magazines. I can imagine it would be ideal for use on the MOLLE hip belt of a pack like those from Mystery Ranch or Kifaru.

This is a custom, one-off design but if enough people let Onerios Valley know they are interested, you never know…

Simple Threaded Devices News

The below Simple Threaded Devices (STD) muzzle device is interesting for two reasons. First, it is a prototype 7.62 device that STD is currently testing. Production versions will be made from 4140 steel and nitride processed for corrosion resistance. Second, it shows an even simpler, no knurling surface treatment that they are trying.

Check out the Simple Threaded Devices website to learn more about their linear compensator line.

Ultralight Laser Cut Hypalon M4 Mag from Whiskey Two-Four

Whiskey Two-Four is no stranger to laser cutting and Hypalon. They have used both to create a number of really interesting and lightweight products. One of their latest creations is the Ultralight Laser Cut Hypalon M4 Mag.

This pouch has features you would expect from a single shingle format M4 mag pouch like bungee retention and a PALS compatible surface on the front of the pouch. However, due to the light weight of the Hypalon material and skeletonized laser cut design, this pouch weighs just 1.8 ounces without giving up any durability.

The Ultralight Laser Cut Hypalon M4 Mag will be available soon at Whiskey Two-Four.

Hyskore GripLight

Mounting a light on a revolver is problematic. Manufacturers have tried to put accessory rails on revolvers before but they are usually placed on the under lug of the barrel when would mean the user would have to place their thumb over the flash gap in order to active the light. I have no interest in placing my thumb in the way of hot gas that is being vented at several thousand psi. Hyskore, with some design help from American Handgunner editor Roy Huntington, has a solution.

The GripLight is a set of duty sized grips for the popular J-frame revolvers from Smith & Wesson that sport an integrated white light. The light is powered by a CR2 battery and activated by a small button located high on the front strap of the grip. This configuration allows the 130 lumen light to activate whenever you grip the revolver.

The light module is made from aluminum and is located on the right side of the revolver above the cylinder. It is compact enough that adds a small amount additional width and should still work fine for pocket carry which is how I use my j-frame most of the time.
