The ONE Pistol from Gear Head Works

Gear Head Works, makers of the Tailhook stabilizer brace, have a new project in the works. The ONE Pistol is a compact bolt-action pistol that is designed to serve as a compact hunting firearm or suppressor host.

The ONE starts as a virgin Model 7 action. The action is barreled and placed in an aluminum chassis with a folding mechanism, AR pistol-like extension, and Tailhook brace. There is currently only one chambering available – 300BLK – and feeding is accomplished via .223 AICS pattern magazines (10 round magazine is included). This basic package weighs in at under 6 pounds and will set you back $1500.

Gear Head Works will offer a number of custom options beyond the basic configuration described above. Options include a number of colors, barrel fluting, grip upgrades, and more.

Dauntless MFG UB-K

What do you get when you cross a box knife with a karabit? You get something like the UB-K from Dauntless MFG.

According to Dauntless MFG, the UB-K is:

The UB-K is a fixed blade karambit style knife that accepts all standard utility knife blades. It is designed to be just at home as a part of your everyday carry or another tool in your toolbox.

The UB-K comes with a custom kydex sheath and a wrench used to change hte blade. The UB-K comes with your choice of handle panels but Dauntless MFG also sells the panels in a variety of colors and textures so you can customize the UB-K.

AR Pistolero Patch – Now Available at Kit Badger

FHF Gear Tech Pouch

Cold weather can be hard on electronics. The cold shortens battery life which is no good for critical gear like GPS or cell phones. FHF Gear’s new Tech Pouches are built with this reality in mind.

These pouches have two features that help protect and preserve electronics during backcountry travel. First, they are insulated. This helps keep the cold out an the warm in (more on this in a moment). It also protects from impacts. Second, these pouches have a hand warmer pocket (chemical or electronic) that warms the contents of the pouch.

The pouch is constructed from 500D Cordura with laser cut Dyneema backing. The backer is MOLLE compatible and can be set up for belt carry. The Tech Pouch is available in two sizes – Standard (phones up to 6.4 x 3.25″) and Plus (phones up to 7 x 3.5″).
