The Gryphon M-10, an absolute classic self-defense knife and one of the best kept secrets in the entire knife industry, is now available with a new sheath option. The new sheath is a kydex, pancake style belt sheath that is manufactured by Survival Sheath Systems who has been molding kydex longer than just about anyone. It is set up for a vertical draw and is available in black and coyote brown.

PHLster City Special

The PHLster City Special holster brings some fresh, new ideas to a old classic gun. It is an AIWB holster for the venerable S&W J-Frame that is available in 2 different versions. The standard version is a fairly straightforward AIWB holster. It is the “Reload Cut” version that is extremely unique and innovative.

The Reload Cut City Holster features a special cut on the front of the holster that allows the cylinder to be inserted with the charge holes facing up for easy access with your speed loader/speed strip. This holster is basically a way to adapt the classic one hand reload method of returning the handgun to the holster. It holds and stabilizes the j-frame so that the user’s only working hand is free to retrieve and insert spare ammo. It isn’t fast but there is no fast way to reload a revolver with one hand.

The PKM from Max Venom

What do you get when you splice the DNA of a karambit and a pikal knife? Something pretty wicked like the PKM from Max Venom.

PKM stands for Pikal, Karambit Mix and it is a pretty good descriptor of what the PKM is. It features the distinctive finger ring of a karambit with the reverse edge that is typical of a pikal design.

This design is basically a response to those who want a larger version of Max Venom’s fairly well known karambit-based last ditch knife – the Karambite. Like the Karambit, the PKM is designed to be slim and easy to conceal at just 6.625″ of overall length. It is ground from S35VN steel and comes with a compact kydex sheath.

Compact Survival Cord from Gearward

Every EDC/survival kit should include cordage. If you are looking for something more compact than the typical paracord, Gearward has a solution with their Compact Survival Cord.

Compact Survival Cord is just what it sounds like – a very compact way to carry emergency cordage. It is available in 3 different sizes: Micro, Mini, and Small. All 3 sizes are considerably smaller than a comparable amount of paracord. The Micro and Mini spools come with 25 and 60 feet respectively of 200 lb test Kevlar cord. The Small spool contains 50 feet of Technora line which has a break strength of over 600 lbs!

Gearward leveraged a very clever, compact spool design and the thinner diameter cordage to make the Compact Survival Cord easy to carry and easy to deploy.

Check out the Gearward website to see a ton of great application ideas for the Compact Survival Cord.
