Whiskey Two Four – New Belt Products

Whiskey Two Four has rolled out a couple of new belt products that are extremely clever.

The Laser Cut Ultralight Belt Adapter is a specially cut piece of One-Wrap material that wraps onto a belt (optimized for 1.5″ width belts), turning it into an inner belt to accept a hook lined duty/outer belt. The wrap is thin enough to thread through belt loops while mounted on your belt. Now your favorite CCW belt can pull double duty as the inner belt on your “battle belt”.

They have also introduced Laser Cut Modular Belt Panels that turn any belt into a MOLLE compatible, load bearing belt. The panels attach to your existing belt and accept any standard MOLLE accessory. They are available in 2 sizes: 6 Columns and 14 Columns.

Whiskey Two-Four Modular Placard

Whiskey Two-Four’s new Modular Placard packs a ton of features into a compact package. It’s an easy way to add modular, easily swap-able load carriage ability to your plate carrier. Laser cut Hypalon construction makes it thin, light, and durable.

The Modular Placard will accept any MOLLE compatible pouch and features adjustable hanger height. It is compatible with the industry standard SwiftClip attachment system developed by Velocity Systems and Mayflower R&C so it will attach to wide variety of plate and armor carriers.

If your plate carrier or armor carrier does not have loop Velcro on the front to help stabilize the placard, Whiskey Two-Four offers a loop Velcro base panel that can be mounted on PALS webbing.

Whiskey Two Four Universal Padded Harness

Whiskey Two Four continues to grow their modular Low Profile Panel chest rig line. The line of laser cut Hylalon chest rigs allows the user to purchase the panel or panels that fit their needs and then add a harness. This way any of the components may be mixed and matches as necessary. Previously, only a simple webbing H-harness was available but now WTF has made a padded harness available.

The new Universal Padded Harness comes with everything you need to mount it to any of the available panels. It is constructed from Cordura nylon with a spacer mesh backing. The front and back portions of the harness have PALS webbing for attaching other gear. Strap management wraps are built in so you can secure any loose ends. The harness also features cleaver sleeves for the front SRBs to protect and silence them.

All of the panels that this harness works with are also compatible with the industry standard Velocity Systems/Mayflower R&C SwiftClip system for mounting on a plate carrier. That means that this harness may be adaptable to a great number of chest rigs on the market.

PenCott GreenZone Anorak from Whiskey Two-Four

You are probably used to “tactical” outerwear that is made in the USA being pretty expensive. Whiskey Two-Four just released details of an Anorak pattern that they have created that is about to turn that notion upside down. Their PenCott GreenZone Anorak is chocked full of features and will have an introductory price of just $99. That is a 12.6 ounce, made in the USA, rain shell that is designed to work with your gear for less than $100.

The PenCott GreenZone Anorak is constructed from 70D PU DWR ripstop material. This material will keep the weight down, allow the anorak to pack small, and it can be retreated with DWR refresher as necessary. It has a vented back and vented armpits.

The zipper setup on this shell is very slick. There is half zip front and zippered outseams (sides) to allow easy donning and doffing as well as access to the gear beneath the anorak.

The PenCott GreenZone Anorak is available in one size which is cut to fit over gear like helmets, plate carriers, and other gear.

I can see this shell having wide appeal not just with shooters but hunters, especially those who need to pack in light. A garment like this packs a lot of versatility without much cost in weight or bulk. It can be paired with a fleece and appropriate base layers to tame most weather conditions.

Check out the PenCott GreenZone Anorak coming in December from Whiskey Two-Four. This shell might just help set a new precedent for affordability in tactical outerwear.

Whiskey Two-Four Introduces Slanted Chest Rigs

Whiskey Two-Four is not afraid to try things that are different which is why I always watch them closely. Their most recent product is a testament to that. They are introducing a line of chest rigs with a built in slant that angles gear like magazine pouches in toward the wearer’s center line. This allows the pouches to be mounted out toward the sides of the rig while still being accessible. That in turn opens up the center of the rig so it is more comfortable in the prone and it breathes better.

Currently, they are only offering an rig that has a 4×3 PALS grid on each side and an open center. There may be additional variations in the future like a split front that incorporates the slant and more compact options. These laser cut Hypalon panels are designed to be used with WTF’s Universal Chest Rig Harness system.
