Fight and Flight Tactical LLAMA Pack Cargo Panel

Here is a sneak peek of the Cargo Panel that Fight and Flight Tactical is developing for their LLAMA Pack. The Cargo Panel’s purpose is two-fold. First, it expands the cargo capacity of the LLAMA Pack. Second, it serves as a smaller, stand-alone daypack or E&E pack.

The Cargo Panel features pack-away shoulder straps and all the buckles necessary to dock onto the LLAMA Pack. The front of the Cargo Panel features a ton of PALS webbing coverage and a front admin pouch. The main pouch has a half-zip, top loading design. The back panel of the Cargo Panel features webbing loops that can be used for lashing gear or for creating a retaining area with shock-cord for soft, bulky gear like jackets.

Fight and Flight Tactical Severs Ties with 72 Tactical

LLAMA PackMany of you are familiar with the pack formerly known as the Skinny Sasquatch. It is somewhat like an up-sized version of the Fight and Flight Tactical Defilade Pack with a ton of additional features that make it very scalable. The pack is designed and manufactured by Fight and Flight Tactical and it was distributed by 72 Tactical.

Due to some serious issues, Fight and Flight Tactical has cut ties with 72 Tactical. I won’t air out all the details at this time but the following image that alleges IP theft is currently making its way around Facebook and it appears to me to be just the tip of the iceberg.

PlateCat

Whenever something like this happens, there is likely to be a lot of back tracking, double talk, and supporters from both sides lining up to defend their favorite gear maker. It will take a long time to sort this out fully, if it is ever fully sorted out. The plate carrier issue above is not the only, or even the most serious, alleged issue with 72 Tactical. The most important details to come out of this is:

The Skinny Sasquatch will now be called the LLAMA Pack (Long-range, Low-Profile, Adaptable, Mission, Assault Pack). The packs will still be made in-house at Fight and Flight Tactical and distribution will move in-house as well. These will be on the Fight and Flight Tactical website soon. Stay tuned for more details on the pack as they are available and a full review.

UPDATE: The LLAMA Pack is now available at FightandFlight.com.

7×4 +P Hybrid Patch Panel from Fight and Flight Tactical

Fight and Flight Tactical’s 7×4 Hybrid Patch Panel has been around for a while now. Like all the Hybrid Patch Panel line, it is a very multi-functional piece of gear that can display patches or ID as well as holding a 7″ tablet computer like the Samsung Galaxy Tab or iPad Mini. The original worked great as long as you didn’t have a larger case on your tablet.

Fight and Flight is now offering the 7×4 +P Hybrid Patch Panel. The +P version is cut slightly larger so it can accommodate a wide variety of tablet cases – even larger cases like those from Otterbox. If you have a 7″ tablet that has one of the various ruggedized cases that are available and you want to be able to carry it on your gear, this is the case for you.

Inspiration from a Bug Bite – The Fight and Flight Tactical TASK Story

The TASK from Flight and Flight Tactical is an absolute smash hit. Fight and Flight Tactical is selling them as fast as they can make them – maybe faster. I asked Dave Watson, head honcho at Fight and Flight Tactical, about it and he let me in on the back story which is a bit different from most that you hear in this industry.

Fight and Flight TASK

The TASK wasn’t the result of a special operations small unit purchase. It wasn’t the result of some kind of military funded study on the effectiveness spacer mesh on the exfoliation of dead skin cells. No, it was the result of a bug bite.

Dave had a mosquito bite that he had already scratched until it was raw. So, to scratch another, he grabbed a scrap of mesh in his shop. The moment he used it inspiration hit like a fifty caliber projectile. The TASK was born shortly after.

I told Dave he needed more bug bites and he informed me that he had plenty from working in his garden. It sounds like Fight and Flight Tactical won’t run out of inspiration any time soon.

When you are covered with sweat, unburnt powder, blood, guts, and gun oil, you can’t settle for just “clean.” Scrub the funk off with the Fight and Flight Tactical TASK (Tactical Ass Scrubbing Kit) and you’ll be tactically clean!

Fight and Flight TASK

The TASK is a soap pouch made from 8mm antimicrobial spacer mesh. It can hold just about any normal sized bar of soap or even let you put that last little sliver of soap to use. The TASK can also be used with liquid soap. It scrubs off the nasty stuff and the little bits of skin that your body rejects because they have grown too weak to pull their weight (AKA exfoliation).

Perhaps most importantly, the TASK has a 6″ webbing loop so you don’t have to worry about dropping it and the potential ramifications of that.

Check out the TASK at Fight and Flight Tactical. It would make a great Father’s Day gift!
