Bogota π

SerePick is showing off a new product that they may bring to market soon called Bogota π. SerePick has created other Bogota sets in the traditional pick form factor like the Titan Flats set. However, these are around 3.14159265359” (hence the name) which makes them very compact.

The Bogota π set includes a Hook, Double, Triple and Quad Bogota along with a flat double-sided tensioner. Currently, only a few sample sets have been created. They will hopefully go into production soon.

RETA Kydex M&P 15-22 Mag Holders

The S&W M&P 15-22 is pretty much the best thing going when it comes to rimfire training carbines. One of the best things about it is that it has affordable, easy to load, and reliable magazines. Unfortunately, due to the feed tower design of the magazines they don’t always fit well in the same mag pouches you use for your centerfire carbine.

Enter the RETA Kydex M&P 15-22 Kydex Mag Holders. They are 2 piece, “pancake” style mag holders that ride close to the belt. It is nice to see serious support gear for a rimfire carbine that is capable of serious training.

Snake Eater Tactical Burro Magazine Pouches

There are kydex magazine pouches and there are elastic magazine pouches. Snake Eater Tactical’s Burro magazine pouches combine both into the same pouch.

The body of the Burro magazine pouches is constructed from 5″ heavy duty elastic which offers solid retention and allows it to adapt to a variety of magazines of similar shape and size. Snake Eater Tactical adds a curved kydex insert that adds structure and keeps pouch slightly open when open to make inserting a magazine easier. When the magazine is removed, the pouch lays mostly flat and out of the way. They are MOLLE compatible and come with MALICE Clips.

The Burro magazine pouches are available for both double stack pistol magazines and 5.56 rifle magazines.

Apex Tactical Specialties Developing Glock Safety Plunger

The safety plunger is a key spot for those who are trying to improve their Glock’s trigger. Careful rounding and polishing of the plunger can make a big difference in how the trigger feels without a negative effect on reliability unlike some trigger mods like lightening the striker or springs which can negatively effect reliability. This is not a secret yet there haven’t been very many improved safety plungers on the market.

Thankfully, it looks like Apex Tactical Specialties is stepping in to fill that gap. They are currently beta testing an improved safety plunger that is polished and domed in shape (though not as domed as some competition safety plungers to ensure solid contact between it and the trigger bar). It is made from heat treated 440C steel which hardened to 52-56 Rc for durability (that is the same hardness as the OEM part). They state that the new Safety Plunger will retail for less than $20.

IWC QD End Plate RL
