Architek Fixed Clamp-On AR-15 Front Sight from Battle Arms Development

Brownells has an interesting and exclusive new product from Battle Arms Development. The Architek Fixed Front Sight Clamp-On is a compact, lightweight clamp-on front sight for .750 diameter AR-15 barrels (can be attached on any part of the barrel that is between .735 and .750″ in diameter). The Architek Sight is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and is skeletonized to reduce its weight to a scant 1.3 ounces.

This, almost AK-47 like, front sight tower creates some interesting possibilities for extending sight radius or even reducing weight on a Dissipator-ish AR-15 build. The front sight tower is thinner than a standard FSB and has the benefit of being fixed to the barrel instead of the handguard which can deflect from sling use, barricade contact, or other factors.

Sabrewerks 13 MRO Mount in Development

Sabrewerks 13 is working to release their latest Trijicon MRO optic mount for the AK. The new mount will be part of Sabrewerks 13’s KOP line and will share the same features as their other optic mounts.

These mounts are unique in that, once the host AK’s rear sight base has been modified to accept the KOP mounts, any of their available mounts may be used to mount the optic of your choice. They repeat zero and can be swapped in minutes. Most of the KOP mounts are specific to the optic they are intended to mount which keeps them as compact and lightweight as possible.

SAV IFAK Pouch from Fight and Flight Tactical

Fight and Flight Tactical has released a new IFAK pouch called the SAV or Sanguin Aer Vitae (Latin for Blood, Air, Life). This 7″ x 5.5″ x 3.5″ is large enough to hold a full-featured trauma kit and it packs some very slick organizational features. The interior of the SAV has plenty of organization features like loop Velcro, elastic loops, and a slip pocket. The exterior has a clever integrated trauma shear retainer and loops for a tourniquet and other items like chemlights or pens.
