Clever and Easy Bogota Entry Tools Hiding Spot

Here is a simple way to hide your Bogota Entry Tools on your everyday carry gear, tactical gear, or uniform. Just hide them under a Velcro backed patch. The patch keeps them secure, out of sight, and easy to access. I will admit that this is likely not the hardest to locate hiding spot but as long as you aren’t walking around peering in windows like some kind of a creep, it is probably sufficient.

Tuff-Writer – The Ultimate Titanium Clicky Pen Project

I am not much of a tactical pen user. For the most part, I would just prefer to use an inexpensive steel bodied Zebra pen or something similar. However, I can appreciate a well designed writing instrument that looks great the same way I can appreciate a gorgeous custom knife and the Ultimate Titanium Clicky Pen from Tuff Writer certainly looks great.

Tuff Writer makes a fairly wide assortment of “tactical” pens. They are not inexpensive but I have handled several and they are very, very nice. Now they are looking for backers for a new project, their Ultimate Titanium Clicky Pen. They have a project page on KickStarter and they are already fully funded with 32 days left! In fact, they have hit nearly 3 times their goal and it is understandable because the pen looks amazing.

The Ultimate Titanium Clicky Pen features a heavy duty spring steel clip, Delrin spacers that let it take just about any ink refill available including the venerable Fisher refills, and, of course, titanium construction. JTT readers know that titanium makes everything better. It will be available with a number of different metal treatments like tumbled, satin, hand brushed, and hand polished.

Cavalry Manufacturing MK17S SCAR-H Billet Lower

I have been trying to keep you up to date on the new MK17S SCAR-H Billet Lower from Cavalry Manufacturing as it moved through the development phase. Well, I am happy to report that it is now available. This billet lower receiver will accept all SR-25 pattern mags including PMAGs so that your SCAR-H can have magazine commonality with other rifles in your inventory or you can just take advantage of the better pricing, availability, and durability of the SR-25 pattern mags.

You can order direct from Cavalry Manufacturing and since the lower receiver is not the serialized part of the SCAR-H, it can be ordered without an FFL.

Squid Med Kit from Snake Eater Tactical

The contents of med kits can be expensive, so the concept of a drop-in organizer that lets you transfer the contents between pouches can make a lot of sense if you are on a tight budget. However, the organizer must allow immediate access and keep everything organized or it is not worth the cost reduction. Something like the Squid Med Kit from Snake Eater Tactical might be just what the doctor ordered (groan).

The Squid Med Kit is available in two difference sizes – small and medium. It is basically an organizer constructed from webbing and easily user replaceable 1/8″ shock cord that lets you turn any pouch into an organized and accessible IFAK.

You just load items like bandages, hemostatic agents, tourniquets, etc. into the Squid Med Kit and then drop it into a pouch or pocket. When you need it, you just open the pouch and pull the large, integral pull strap. Now you are free to remove items to work on yourself, someone else, or even pass the whole kit off to someone who may need it.
