GunfightersINC Introduces Add-on Ammo Carrier for the Kenai Chest Holster

I think most of the people who pontificate about how revolvers are obsolete probably don’t spend much time in bear country. Revolvers remain to be one of the most practical ways to deliver truly potent handgun calibers. This is why GunfightersINC makes the Kenai Chest Holster for many of the most popular bear protection revolvers available.

They are now offering the Add-on Ammo Carrier that allows the user to carry additional ammo for their revolver on either side of the holster. It is available in two sizes, one that accommodates traditional magnum cartridges like .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. The other size accommodates larger cartridges like .45 Colt and .500 S&W.

In addition to working on the Kenai’s chest straps, it can also be used on rifle slings, belts, and pack straps. The Add-on Ammo Carrier is made in the USA by Tactical Tailor and available for pre-order now (delivery will be around the end of March or early April).

New from TOPS Knives: Micro Hawk

The Micro Hawk, from TOPS Knives and designer Shawn Owens, is an interesting concept. It looks like a compact tomahawk but in use it probably has more in common with a knife. Shawn is a pilot, Filipino martial artist, and instructor and the Micro Hawk has grown out of those experiences. It is a compact, heavy-duty tool that can be used as part of an aircraft survival kit or carried as an edge weapon.

Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier News

PHLster’s  Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier has been a smashing success. They are available only at Snake Hound Machine where, in the span of just a few weeks, they have already restocked and sold out several times. In response, production has been increased to meet the demand.

The Flatpack can now be purchased with an optional MALICE Clip. The MALICE Clip can be mounted to the back of the Flatpack with the soft loops removed. This makes the Flatpack mountable on a single column of PALS webbing (MOLLE compatible). Going forward, all Flatpacks are MALICE Clip compatible so even if you don’t add the clip at the point of purchase, you can add one later.

Old Grouch’s Military Surplus Improved Military Poncho

What do you do when you are a military surplus vendor who laments the increasing scarcity of real surplus ponchos and the influx of cheap, imported ponchos? If you are Old Grouch’s Military Surplus, you start making your own poncho that is even better than the original.

These ponchos look pretty excellent on paper. They are using improved materials like nylon webbing throughout the entire hem rather than cotton canvas webbing just at the grommets. They have improved the hood and are using the latest style of snap. They use brass spur grommets instead of washer grommets. The result of all these improvements is a poncho that is stronger and more rot resistant than the original.
