I know that several of you have been watching and waiting for the NavELite wrist compass to become available. Well, I have good news. It is now shipping!
They have completed a large production run. All pre-orders are being filled and the compass is now available for purchase from NavELite.com.
Mission First Tactical is showing off the latest addition to their BattleLink series of stocks – the BattleLink Minimalist Stock or BMS. The BMS joins the BattleLink Utility and BattleLink Utility Low Profile Stock (which we reviewed).
MFT tested this production prototype of the stock until it cracked.
The BMS is certainly a light weight stock. It weighs in at under 4 ounces and MFT claims that it is the lightest on the market. Don’t let the word “minimalist” and its light weight make you think this stock lacks features. This stock retains much of the functionality for which the BattleLink stocks are known. It retains the ability to accept the Mission First Tactical Foretrex Upper Mount. The BMS also has several sling mounting points including a QD sling swivel socket near the forward part of the stock. It also has the angled buttpad which I liked so much when reviewed the BatteLink Utility Low Profile Stock.

Stop the presses! UW Gear just introduced their next chest rig – the Swampfox.
The most obvious feature of the new rig is the split front design that allows for easy donning and doffing. I am a sucker for split front chest rigs. It also has the same great pouch and flap design as the excellent Minuteman MKII Chest Rigs. Both sides of the rig have a 3×3 panel of PALS webbing and the “H” harness is the same great design that UW Gear is known for. I have also been told that UW Gear is working on a hydration carrier that will integrate with their harness which is great news because split front plate carriers and hydration carriers go together like PB&J.
