5col Survival Supply Attachenator Kit

5col Survival Supply’s Attachenator Kit is now available. This clever kit comes with everything you need to attach all kinds of gear to a PALS grid, a backpack, your belt, and more.

The kit includes:

  • 4 ITW GTSP Cordlocs
  • 5 ft. 1/8″ diameter Shock Cord
  • 5 ft. MIL-C-5040h Type 3 Parachute Cord

This kit can be very convenient for the guy who doesn’t already have these components on hand. In order to piece together a kit like this, you would have to buy all the separate components in bulk which not everyone wants to do.

I have used these same components to do all kinds of things like:

  • Mount a TQ to a PALS grid
  • Attach trekking poles to a backpack
  • Attach water bottles to a backpack shoulder strap
  • Make a strap for managing a sling on a rifle
  • Make retaining straps or a grid for securing bulky outerwear to a pack
  • Make adjustable dummy cords for gear like a compass

Perseverance Survival Woobie Hoodie

I recently had the flu and I am not sure I would have made it through without a poncho liner, or woobie, that kept me warm while I wasted away on the couch. My wife and I even keep an after-market poncho liner with improved insulation near our bed in the winter to stave off the morning cold that comes with having a wood heated house. It is safe to say that woobies are integrated into my life and I suspect many of you are the same… but what if you could wear one all the time?

That is exactly what the Perseverance Survival Woobie Hoodie is all about. It is a hoodie, the world’s most versatile top, that is made from a woobie, the world’s most versatile blanket. You can wear it on its own or use it as an insulation layer under a shell in cold weather.

The Woobie Hoodie is available in three colors: Coyote, MARPAT, and good old Woodland Camo. I just ordered a Woodland Camo version for myself from Kit Fox Outfitters and I might do a review on it once I put it through its paces.

You can check out the Woobie Hoodie at PerseveranceSurvival.com.

Sneak Peek: 5col Survival Supply HPG Kit Bag Survival Kit

5col Survival Supply is developing a survival kit designed specifically to fit the Hill People Gear Kit Bag. The kit features quality components from Solkoa Survival Systems, Aquamira, UCO, and more. Given the versatile load carrying capability of the Kit Bag and it’s ability to stay with the wearer even when they have to drop their pack, I am surprised there hasn’t been other similar kits developed.

Stay tuned for additional details.
