Crimson Trace LG-922G Master Series Green Lasergrips for 1911

Crimson Trace’s Master Series Lasergrips are their flagship grip offerings for the venerable 1911. These grips feature everything you expect from Crimson Trace like their Instinctive Activation and quality laser modules with the addition of premium grip materials like Micarta, Rosewood, G10, and Aluminum. Previously, the Master Series Lasergrips have only been available with red lasers but that is about to change with the upcoming release of the LG-922G Master Series Green Lasergrips.

The LG-922G is one of the several new Lasergrips that will be on display in the Crimson Trace booth at SHOT Show 2016. These grips feature a green laser and silver aluminum grip panel construction with textured grip elements. They look striking, work as well as you expect from Crimson Trace, and manage to leave the much loved sleek lines and ergonomics of the 1911 intact.

Knock-Off Banshee Plate Carriers

Shellback Tactical has been a prolonged battle with a company that is, according to Shellback Tactical, using their well-known Banshee Plate Carrier design and naming in an unauthorized manner. That battle has apparently reached a new crescendo with the release of a new series of plate carriers called the Strike Series that are stitch for stitch copies of the Banshee and Banshee QD.

Interestingly, the company producing the plate carriers in question is not based overseas as is typically seen in cases like this. These plate carriers are apparently being made in the USA by a USA based company.

The only way to be sure that you are getting a genuine Shellback Tactical Banshee is to buy directly from them or one of their authorized dealers. If your Banshee is not genuine or is an unauthorized copy, Shellback Tactical will be unable to help you with warranty and service issues. See our previous post on this matter for details.

They’re almost here! We first mentioned the Reduced Gas Port barrels that Sionics has been testing back in July of last year. These are barrels that have been designed to operate with a smaller gas port than Sionics’ other barrels with the intention of being used on suppressed AR-15s. The smaller gas port diameter helps deal with the increased back pressure created by a suppressor which results in less muzzle rise, less recoil, less wear and tear, and less gas in the shooter’s face.

Geissele Automatics Super Charging Handle

Geissele Automatics will be showing off their new Super Charging Handle at SHOT Show 2016. The new ambidextrous AR-15 charging handle is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and hard anodized in Black or DDC (brown). These are expected to retail for $89 in Black and $99 in DDC but those prices may change. Keep an eye out for AR308 versions in the future.
