CIV Alpha Tarac

What if you could add a second zero distance to your optic and accessing that second zero was as easy as flipping a switch? That is what the CIV Alpha Tarac claims it can do. One specific use that is stated for such an ability is to give the shooter the ability to move between super and sub-sonic loads with a cartridge like 300BLK.

The Alpha Tarac is an optical glass lens that is housed in a flip up housing machined from 6061 aluminum. It is available in two sizes (1.25″ and 2.25″). The prism doesn’t add a new reticle or aiming point. It actually shifts the image that the shooter sees through their optic by a predetermined MOA setting resulting a change to the point of impact. The buyer can designate the MOA shift that they require at the time of purchase.

GunfightersINC is Moving and Hiring

If you are a long time reader of Jerking the Trigger, you know about GunfightersINC in no small part because of their Kenai Chest Holster. You may also be familiar with the changing political landscape in Washington State, where GunfightersINC currently operates. They have chosen to read the writing on the wall and relocate to North Idaho – Rathdrum to be specific.

This all means there will be some employment opportunities for some North Idahoans who would like to work in the firearm industry (which basically describes everyone from North Idaho). The job listings are available on the GunfightersINC Facebook page.

Will Larson Memorial

We received word that Will Larson passed away and that is a loss for our entire community. You may not know his name but there is a good chance that Will Larson has touched your life.

Did you ever receive sage, no-nonsense advice regarding AR-15s from “Iraqgunz” on an internet forum like Usual Suspects Network or M4Carbine.net? That was him. Have you ever owned a BCM or Sionics rifle? He worked with both companies (and many others). Did you ever attend an armorer’s course conducted by Semper Paratus Arms or learn from someone who did? That was Will’s company.

I never met Will personally but I and many others have benefited from his extensive knowledge of the AR-15 and his willingness to share that hard-earned knowledge with our community. My heart goes out to his family.

Will leaves behind a wife and children. He supported our community and now we have a chance to pay that back. Consider visiting the GoFundMe set up to benefit his family: Will Larson Benefit

OC Tactical Clash Keychain

Thanks to Whiskey Two-Four and all their manufacturing partners, M81 webbing is starting to find its way out into the wild. OC Tactical is already putting it to good use in their Clash Keychain.

The Clash gives you a way to carry your keys and clip them anywhere convenient thanks to the steel ITW Clash Hook found at one end. I suppose it could also make a decent handle to turn your keys into a melee weapon in a pinch. You would probably earn some style points for doing that kind of thing with an M81 Clash.
