New Bad Blood Knives at TacStrike

The Sean Kendrick designed line of Bad Blood Knives are becoming pretty well known as a high value knife line. Four new knives were just added to the line and TacStrike has them first!

TacStrike Bad Blood New Arrivals

These knives have features like G-10 scales, mosaic pins, and functional molded sheaths but they retail for less than $55 in most cases. The models are available at TacStrike about a month before they will be available anywhere else. The Paradigm and fixed blade version of the Dreadnaught interest me most. These are working designs with strong points, usable sheaths, and great all-around size.

Be Smart with Your PMAG Back Orders

Before you order any more magazines, do something to support the 2nd Amendment and the Bill or Rights. Contact your Representatives, join the NRA, have an intelligent conversation with a friend who is undecided on the issues, just do something!

I have already mentioned the E-Lander magazines and given you a window into what is happening at Brownells right now but I continue to get emails that ask about what is available in terms of magazines, ammo, AR-15 lowers, etc. The vast majority of the emails center around AR-15 magazines – PMAGs in particular. The fact is that PMAGs are back ordered everywhere right now, but if you have a bit of knowledge, you can make your PMAG back ordering experience go a bit smoother.

Cases of PMAGS

Choose the Right Color

Magpul is making magazines at full capacity, but they are only making them in black. I am hearing reports of orders for other colors (FDE, Foliage Green, OD Green, etc) being canceled simply because there is no ETA on the colored mags.

Choose the Right Generation

Magpul isn’t giving specifics about their production process, but it appears that the Gen 2 PMAG, now called the PMAG Gen M2 MOE, is shipping faster than the new PMAG Gen M3. This makes sense since the Gen M2 MOE has been in production longer and production had just barely ramped up on the PMAG Gen M3 when all of the panic buying started.

Choose the Right Dealer

Magpul deals with several distributors and a handful of “Featured Online Resellers.” It would probably be wise to back order with these resellers.

Wrap Up

So, if you want to make your PMAG back order experience go a bit smoother, arm yourself with some knowledge. Your best bet is probably to order black PMAG Gen M2 MOE mags from a place like Brownells or DSG Arms that is a Magpul “Featured Online Reseller,” has huge capacity to move products, and who has a long history of taking care of their customers.

E-Lander AR-15 Magazine Update from The Mako Group

gI_121309_Logo on black croppedThe Mako Group recently posted an update on the status of their E-Lander AR-15 Magazines. They are slammed with orders right now but the magazines are still in stock with more coming and they are committed to keeping the prices at the same pre-panic level. I still don’t know a lot about these magazines but the initial reports are very promising.

Here is statement from The Mako Group regarding the status of orders, the availability of the mags, and how to contact them:

Update on your E-Lander magazine orders:

We are not answering phones.
Currently, every employee in our NY headquarters is packaging and shipping magazines to fill orders, from the CEO on down. At this point we are not answering the phones, as we are receiving enough calls to keep everyone busy full time just answering the phone. We had to make a choice between taking calls or shipping orders. The vast majority of the calls we have been receiving is from people who are calling to ask whether we do in fact have magazines in stock, and people following up their web order with a call to make sure that their orders are not backordered.

The answer to the questions most asked are:
Yes, we do have magazines in stock, and no one’s magazine order is backordered. We are not currently giving estimated ship dates, since that requires pulling up each customer’s order information and making an estimate. If we do this for everyone who asks, it will increase the time everyone will have to wait to get their orders shipped.

At this time we are not offering rebuild kits for CA customers. We simply do not have the time. This is something we are looking into for the future.

We are now shipping magazines that are not packaged in retail bags. The bags are included separately (for those who plan to resell the magazines) but packaging each magazine in a poly bag is an extra step that takes time away from the manufacture of magazines.

If you have ordered magazines, the magazines that you ordered are either in our warehouse waiting to be packed and shipped, or somewhere between our warehouse and your address. No dealer/distributor/manufacturer order will take priority over your order. We will not pull the mags that you ordered to ship them to someone else.

If you are planning to order magazines, we have them now – it will not be a backorder. We are receiving constant shipments of magazines from Israel and are packing and shipping thousands of magazines every day.

We have not and will not be raising our prices.

How to contact us:
If you need to contact us, please contact us through email. If you must call, please leave a message. We are responding to email and phone messages, but we may not respond to non-priority messages (i.e. “When will my order ship?”) until after you have already received your order.

You can receive 5% off your order by using the discount code “JERK” (case sensitive) and free shipping on orders over $99 by using the discount code “FREE-GRND” (DO NOT select a shipping option if you are using the free shipping code).
