Whiskey Two Four PIMPS Carriers and Inserts

Whiskey Two Four has been working to greatly expand their PIMPS line of modular load carriage gear to include their line of carriers and inserts. If you haven’t been keeping track, it would be worthwhile to familiarize yourself.

The carriers are many and varied. They have the Accessory Panels like the 05, 13, and 38 which can accept any of the inserts and can be clipped into any compatible plate carrier. These Accessory Panel carriers can also be turned into stand-alone chest rigs with the addition of a PIMPS harness.

Their insert line has also grown. They now offer magazine inserts that will fit a variety of magazines including 9mm stick mags, 5.56 mags, 7.62 mags, and others. All of these items can be purchased a la carte to build the perfect rig for the end-user’s needs.

Echo Nine Three Track Suit Sling

Echo Nine Three’s new Track Suit Sling is now available in very low numbers on a trial basis. The sling features thick printed webbing (thicker than the webbing found on their SBS) with wire snap hooks at each end. The Track Suit Sling is available in Black, Red, and Blue.

The Knife Connection (TKC) Blurs the Line Between Custom and Production with the Architect Field Buddy 5.5

Have you ever wished you could have the type of control over knife features that you get when ordering a custom knife… but pay a production knife price? That is the promise of the TKC Architect series and the first offering in that series – the Field Buddy 5.5.

The Architect Field Buddy 5.5 is available 2 ways from TKC. You can purchase the bare blade with handle kit on its own or you can use their Knife Builder to customize with your choice of handle scales, sheath options, and more.

The Field Buddy 5.5 is ground from 5/32″ thick 1095 steel. The blade has a high saber ground drop point shape where the point is in line with the handle. The blades are produced by TOPS Knives who knows how to get a lot of performance out of 1095 steel.

The handle shape is shared with the ESEE 6 which allows TKC to offer their massive array of aftermarket ESEE handles to fit the Field Buddy 5.5. The amount of options available is staggering and these handles are very comfortable to use in my experience.
