Kershaw Thermite

The Kershaw and Zero Tolerance knives that have been designed by Rick Hinderer have been nothing short of a smash hit, especially the affordable Cryo. Kershaw is following the success of the Cryo with a new affordable Hinderer design in the Thermite.

The Thermite features a very Hinderer-esque 3.5″ 8Cr13MoV steel “tanto” blade. Like many Kershaw knives, it features a spring assist mechanism. It has a steel frame lock and a machined G-10 scale. The deep carry pocket clip is configurable for tip up, tip down, left, and right side carry.

These cost $5-6 more than the Cryo but they are larger and feature a G-10 scale. This looks like a solid value.

MSM Logo Coaster

I grew up in a home that was full of antique furniture so I am a little bit neurotic about coasters. Most coasters are lame at best and downright emasculating at worst which is why it always warms my heart when someone like the Mil-Spec Monkey comes out with coasters worthy of this Trigger Jerk’s tactical coffee table. Check out the new MSM Logo Coasters.

Greg Medford’s Challenge to His Countrymen

Medford Knife and Tool LogoGreg Medford of Medford Knife and Tool recently addressed attendees of an open house and used his speaking time to challenge his workers and, really, all American workers. If you are small manufacturer, watch this and then go make the best products that you can make. If you are a consumer, watch this and then go buy something made by an American. Don’t buy it because it was made in America. Buy it because it was designed by an actual innovator and made better by a craftsman.
