TheĀ Ares Gear Aegis Belt’s fine adjustment, Velcro-less design, durable materials, and good looks make it the best belt I have ever owned. I paid full price for both of mine and I’ll gladly do it again if I ever manage to wear one of them out… But, you may not have to pay full price if the Ares Gear Scratch and Dent page has the belt you want. They have several of their most popular color combinations available at steep discounts due to slight imperfections (that you may not even notice).
The most common sizes and desirable colors are likely to sell out quickly so act fast.
It seems that there is a new holsterish thing that does not cover the trigger guard coming to market every week. Most of them are terrible. A few, like some of the clips that attach to the handgun, aren’t terrible but should still make you a bit nervous due to the exposed trigger guard. I generally recommend carrying with a proper, full-coverage holster but if you insist on something other than that please consider using something like the Trigger Guard Holster from Black Rhino Concealment (BRC).
BRC makes the Trigger Guard Holster for a number of common firearms. It snaps onto the trigger guard, completely covering it and adding only minimal bulk to the overall size of the handgun. To use it with something like a handgun clip you would simply hitch the short static cord on your belt. The static cord quickly reaches the extent of its length during the draw stroke which automatically removes the Trigger Guard Holster from the handgun. It can also be used without a clip in the same manner.
These types of holsters are actually handy for a number of storage and carry uses. Check out the Trigger Guard Holsters at Black Rhino Concealment.
This better not be an April Fools joke. The RE Factor Tactical Blasting Cap is now available in Woodland Camo.
The new TOPS CUT 4.0 looks like it might be one of the few knives that can successfully bridge the gap between a reasonable effective karambit and a practical, general-purpose knife. That is exactly what designer Joshua Swanagon was hoping to accomplish.
Having a martial arts background, Joshua Swanagon has done some training with the karambit and is a fan of ring style knives and their prowess in combative applications. However, also being an avid outdoorsman, he has found them to be less than ideal as field utility blades. So he set out to make a knife that could combine those disciplines and decided to call it the C.U.T. 4.0 (Combat Utility Tool).
Those of you who keep an eye on TOPS Knives will notice that the sheath is a departure from their usual kydex-with-a-clip designs. This kydex sheath features two soft loops that allow the sheath to be mounted a number of ways including horizontally on the belt with the handle in toward the centerline. This carry method makes it easy to draw the knife wit either hand in a very compact space.
Even if you never use the karambit functionality of this knife, you’ll appreciate the versatile blade shape and practical size. Check out the new CUT 4.0 at TOPS Knives.
