Glock 42 Speculation
The internet has been abuzz lately with plenty of rumors regarding Glock’s recently posted teaser image (above). The trust-worthy rumblings that I have been able to gather point to the Glock 42 being a compact .380ACP pistol that would be manufactured here in the US since Glock’s current .380 chambered pistol, the G25, is blocked for importation.
I went all CSI on the teaser photo and adjusted the brightness and contrast of the image (below). You can see that the entire outline of a pistol is visible and, if it is to scale with the Zippo lighter shown, it would be roughly the size of other compact, polymer frames .380s on the market like the Ruger LCP and S&W Bodyguard.

There are also some reliable rumors that a .45ACP chambered “Practical Tactical”, like the G34/35, will be released at the same time. Hopefully that means a 10mm will follow behind. This is likely aimed at the competition market and may carry a markedly higher price tag (expected street price is over $700).
This news has many who were hopeful for a single stack 9mm disappointed but I think there may actually be some hope in this for those who want such a gun. A single stack 9mm the size of a G26 would have extremely limited capacity and a single stack 9mm the size of a G19 would probably be slightly larger than what most would want. A single stack 9mm would really need to split the difference in terms of size, like the S&W Shield, in order to make sense but Glock has shown an unwillingness to explore designs too far outside of their already established sizing conventions. However, if the G42 is significantly smaller than other currently available Glocks, it may signal a willingness to break those conventions and explore new designs like a single stack 9mm.
VG6 Precision EPSILON 556
VG6 Precision is developing a new muzzle device called the EPSILON 556. This hybrid muzzle brake with some flash suppressing properties will be available some time in December.
The new device has a lot in common with VG6 Precision’s previous muzzle device, the GAMMA 556, including 17-4PH stainless steel construction and a black nitride finish. It also features similar dual blast chambers with side and top ports.
They recently released some videos showing the day light and low light performance of the new device.
Fight and Flight Tactical Christmas Kitchen Sink
Lots of gear makers have stockings for sale around this time of year but only one will send you a stocking that is pre-stuffed with a Tactical Ass Scrubbing Kit (TASK). That’s right, Fight and Flight Tactical wants to make sure that your hind quarters are squeaky clean this Christmas.
Their tactical Christmas stocking is easily the most tactical of all the tactical Christmas stockings. It has places to stuff your Christmas loot, places to stick your cool guy patches, multiple tactical candy cane retention systems, and a PALS webbing to attach your mission critical gear like a canteen full of eggnog and medic shears for all the tape that comes with Christmas (seriously, if you have kids there is soooo much tape).
You have the option of adding a couple of Fight and Flight Tactical’s most popular products like the previously mentioned TASK and the Blackjack Battery Brick which is handy because, in addition to all the tape, everything that the grandparents spoil your kid with will need 1 more battery than you have on hand. You’ll even save a bit of money by purchasing them all together which is nice because Christmas will bankrupt you if you let it.
These are available in all the colors you can imagine and some you can’t. Check out the Fight and Flight Tactical Christmas Kitchen Sink.
