OV Innovations Pack Files

If you’re a Packphile, you’ll love Pack Files. OV Innovations has added a new feature to their blog called Pack Files in which they dive into the details and history of influential packs.

The first two packs have already been chronicled. The first was Tactical Tailer’s Tailer Pack. The second is Mystery Ranch’s very first proprietary pack for the venerable NICE Frame – Big D’s 4900. Hopefully, OV Innovations will continue to add to this series over time.

Gunstruction User’s Choice Build – April 2017

History has been made! If you follow Gunstruction’s User’s Choice Builds, you know that there has been one common thread across every single one… Not anymore!

The Gunstruction User’s Choice Build for April features an optic that isn’t an EOTech for the first time. Gunstruction users selected the Atibal AT-AGB Gen II for their virtual builds more than any other optic in April. EOTech may have finally been dethroned (at least temporarily) but Magpul continues its strangle hold on the User’s Choice grip and stock.

You can follow these User’s Choice Builds at the Gunstruction Facebook Page. They compile the most selected options from their virtual AR-15, AR308, and R700 building tools into a single build. It can be an interesting look into trends.

Kit Badger Profile Anatomy Targets

Ivan at Kit Badger comes through again with interesting and useful content!

There are a number of great anatomy targets on the market including Sage Dyamnic’s free Vital Anatomy Targets. There are far fewer options for side profile targets of any kind, let alone those with anatomy references. That represents a real gap in your potential training options since the relative locations and the paths used to access vital anatomy can change based on the direction a person is facing.

Kit Badger just published a target (and accompanying information about that target) that is based on the Sage Dynamics Vital Anatomy Target except he has completely redrawn them with a side profile. This is a well designed target with the exterior profile of the body blocked in with bold lines but the anatomy presented with thinner, less bold lines. These thin lines harder to see at a distance so you must practice shooting to the relative positions of the anatomy rather than aiming precisely for a mark on the target.

They are free to print so you might as well print a few to keep in your range bag. Kit Badger Profile Anatomy Targets

Beez Combat Systems PCC Chest Rig

Pistol caliber carbines (PCC) are hot right now. They were hot before the ATF reversed its decision on shouldering pistol braces and they only stand to get hotter now that the ruling has changed. In spite of all that, options for PCC support gear are still a little thin. That is where Beez Combat Systems’ (BCS) new PCC Chest Rig comes in.

This new chest rig has everything that makes all the BCS chest rigs great. The 4 magazine pouches are placed inside the rig rather than on its surface. This allows them to lay flat against the user and offers uninterrupted PALS webbing across the entire front of the rig. The H-harness is comfortable without an abundance of padding and pulls forward to adjust so you can adjust the fit while you are wearing it.

Other features include removable and adjustable flaps, pouches deep enough to handle the common 30-32 round magazines, and a full length interior pocket. It is available in 10 different camo patterns and 7 solid colors along with a host of other options/upgrades.
