RE Factor Tactical has started a program that will allow anyone to purchase one of their RATS Tourniquets so that it can be sent to a vetted active service members or law enforcement officers (LEO). The first phase of the program is already underway. Military members and LEO can sign up at the RE Factor Tactical website to be part of the program.
In the coming weeks, RE Factor Tactical will start phase two which will be a space on their website where anyone can purchase a tourniquet to be sent to one of the waiting recipients.
I really wish they would have chosen a PROVEN tourniquet for a program like this. The RATS tourniquet is NOT approved by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care.

Dangles,
I hear you on that and I am aware of the concerns with the RATS TQ (which is why it is generally not covered here on JTT until I learn more), but the RATS is the TQ that REFT believes in and distributes. I commend them for doing something.
Send those waiting recipients a CAT or SOFTT-W instead. Maybe in the meantime RATS and REFT can put some effort into getting valid studies performed on their product.
Good ‘ol boy networks and “it worked with a pulse oximeter” don’t cut it.
