Modular Driven Technologies UBR Adjustable Buttplate

I have always thought that the Magpul UBR, with its fixed cheek weld position and rock solid locking mechanism, would make a great stock for a precision oriented AR-15. A company called Modular Driven Technologies makes a buttplate, the Enhanced Adjustable Recoil Pad for UBR, that further enhances the UBR’s chops as a precision stock.

The UBR is already adjustable for length of pull. The MDT Enhanced Adjustable Recoil Pad for UBR adds adjustments for drop, pitch, and offset.

Trooper-Gear CAV-15 MKII Enhanced Sling

If you have a CAV-15 MKII lower receiver for your AR-15, you probably wish there were more sling options available. We recently told you about one offering from Trooper-Gear in our review of the CAV-15 MKII and now I am happy to report that there is another option – the Trooper-Gear CAV-15 MKII Enhanced Sling.

CAV-15 Enhanced Sling Trooper Gear

The Trooper-Gear CAV-15 MKII Enhanced Sling is designed to work with the unique rear sling attachment set up of the CAV-15 MKII receivers and with just about any front sling attachment method. This new version features a wider section made from seat belt webbing which make the sling more comfortable. It also has the ability to be tightened and loosened rapidly based on the needs of the user.

GATCO Scepter 2.0

If you are going to carry a knife in the field, you should probably carry a knife sharpener too. The GATCO Scepter 2.0 Serration and Knife Sharpener has a few features that might make it ideal as a field sharpener.

GATCO Scepter 2.0

The Scepter 2.0 has a pull-through style tungsten carbide style sharpener at one end that can help keep a working edge on your knife. The other end is threaded with a removable insert. The insert has a tapered diamond sharpening rod that can be used to sharpen serrations and be removed to reveal a ferro rod type fire starter. The addition of the fire starter allows the Scepter 2.0 to replace 2 pieces of gear.
