Dunamis Gear Foray EDC Pack

Dunamis Gear has been showing the progress of their Foray EDC Pack for months and I’m happy to report that it is now available. The Foray is a truly custom pack that has a ton of features in its standard configuration and a dizzying array of custom options.

The basic pack has a surprising amount of organization and easy access. The  main compartment can be accessed via a zippered top lid and a full height vertical zipper on the front of the pack. The lid has a small slot pocket with access from the top. You’ll find two interior stash pouches tucked away inside the main compartment. There are also hangers sewn into the pack so that more organizer pouches may be added.

The back panel of the Foray has an externally accessed hydration/small laptop compartment. This compartment can also be used to secure the shoulder straps out of the way if you are using the Foray as a duffel bag or docking it to a larger pack or plate carrier.

If you already own Dunamis Gear Cargo Hangers, you can make that known at the point of purchase and they will tailor the attachment points to work with the cargo hangers! That is a really cool touch that is included in the price.

Custom options include padded back panels, PALS webbing fields on the sides, contoured shoulder straps, various drainage grommet options, and more.

EGL 2 Lid CLAYMOARRR Bag

Extreme Gear Labs has a fresh take on the classic claymore bag. Their new 2 Lid CLAYMOARRR Bag offers a ton of functionality and modern features in a bag that still stays true to its roots.

The original claymore bags had two pouches that shared a single lid. The EGL CLAYMOARRR has two lids, one for each of the front pouches, that can be used independently. The lids are secured with side release buckles along with hook and loop. The hook and loop can be blocked so that only the buckles secure the lids. There is also a large document pouch behind the iconic front pouches.

The bag boasts plenty of organization potential. It has PALS webbing on the top and sides of each of the front pouches. The two front pouches are loop lined so that you can add any hook backed pouch you want for small item organization.

The bag is secured to the wearer via a 2″ shoulder strap and there are loops for adding a waist strap.

Snake Eater Tactical Belt Design Update

Snake Eater Tactical makes some excellent belts. I have used one of their Cobra Rigger’s Belts for years and I am currently trying one of their SET War Belts. Both have been excellent products.

They recently updated the design of their belts to remove the hook and loop material that secures the belt tail. Their reasoning behind this move is that the hook and loop is the weakest link in a quality belt. Its tendency to wear out is the only thing that prevents the belt from lasting forever. I have owned many webbing gun belts over the years and in my experience they are correct.

SET belt tail

They are now using a keeper that is sewn into the belt to secure the tail. The keeper can not be lost because it is sewn in between the layers of the belt. It is secured in such a way that it can move along the length of the belt a short distance in order to secure varying lengths of belt tail.
