Sneak Peek: PHLster and Sentinel Concepts Rail Buddy Spare Battery Holder

PHLster and Sentinel Concepts are co-developing a new product, the Rail Buddy, designed to keep spare batteries for weapon mounted lights close at hand. The rail buddy will work with several battery types including the 18650s and 18350s that are driving many of today’s modern lights.

The Rail Buddy will attach via a Velcro One-Wrap strap so that it can be mounted in a variety of locations on the handguard or elsewhere. It can also be used to help with cable management for tape switches.

The battery storage compartment is currently in the prototype stage (3D printed prototype shown).

Tease: PHLster Making a Tactical Crown Royal Bag?

Everyone knows how useful those iconic purple felt bags can be. I am not sure they would be any more useful if they were Multicam with a loop field for patches but they would definitely be a lot cooler.

PHLster recently shared a picture showing their “Tactical Crown Royal Bag” and they’re soliciting input on whether they should actually put it into production. The answer is a resounding “YES” from me. You can weigh in on their Instagram post:

Tease: PHLster ARC Enhanced WML Switches for the Streamlight TLR-1

PHLster released their ARC Enhanced WML Switches for the Surefire X300U series lights earlier this summer. The enhanced switches are a direct, drop-in replacement for the original switches and they provide a slight extension that makes the light easier to operate. Now they are teasing the next product in the ARC line, Enhanced WML Switches for the Streamlight TLR-1 series of lights. The TLR-1 switches are expected to be released sometime this summer.

PHLster ARC Enhanced WML Switches

Remember the old the days of building up the switch on your Surefire X-series weapon light with JB Weld to make it easier and more consistent to access? There is now a better way thanks to the PHLster and the new ARC Enhanced WML Switches.

These polymer switches are drop in replacements for the OEM switches found on Surefire’s X300U (A/B/V), X400U (H, RD, GN), XH30, XH35, and XLV2. Each set comes with 3 different size switches all of which are larger than the original: L, XL, and a blank XL for uses who wish to add their own texture or shaping.

PHLSTER Floodlight Holster

PHLSTER’s new Floodlight Holster isn’t specific to any handgun. It retains on the weapon light, the X300 Ultra A or B, so that it can accept a wide variety of handguns making it extremely versatile.

From PHLSTER:

The Floodlight is a universalized holster, made to accept nearly any service-grade pistol capable of attaching an X300U A or B weapon light.

To accomplish this, many features are smoothed, radiused, and regularized to accommodate the different shapes, sizes, and dimensions of this wide array of firearms.

Like the Spotlight holster, adjustable retention is included, allowing the user to increase or decrease the friction retention on the body of the WML to tune the draw to their preference. Turn the screws attaching the ModWing grip-tucking hardware to dial the retention to your preference.

In order to ensure the best possible fit and retention across the widest variety of pistols, the Floodlight is a two-piece design, like the Skeleton holster, but features adjustable slide contact. By shortening or lengthening the shock cord connected the two halves, users can reduce or eliminate play, rattle, and slop when switching between guns that have different slide dimensions.

The Floodlight, like the Skeleton, is ambidextrous and can be worn AIWB or strong-side IWB, using either soft loops or clips (included). Reduced, lower-profile ergonomic molding improves comfort in a variety of carry positions and provides an ideal attachment point for your choice of aftermarket ergonomic wedge or DIY solution.

Like all of our holsters, the Floodlight accommodates muzzle devices, suppressor height sights, and slide-mounted optics.
