Mission Spec’s EOC (Essentials Only Carrier) now supports side armor thanks to the introduction of their new Flanksavers.

The Mission Spec FlankSavers™ are a drop in replacement/upgrade for adding side armor protection to your Mission Spec Essentials Only Carrier (EOC)™. The FlankSavers directly replace the EOC side straps for a clean and easy install. Supporting up to an 8×8” armor plate or can be used without armor if the user is only looking to add more PALS area to their carrier. The EOCs ability to independently adjust the height of the rear plate bag is not compromised with the addition of the FlankSavers and the ability to integrate industry standard chest rigs is preserved.

Like all Mission Spec products, the FlankSavers are 100% designed, tested, and manufactured in the United States, are Berry Compliant, and come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Mission Spec released a very cool time lapse video of one of their EOC plate carriers being created from start to finish. For those of you who appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into custom tactical gear, this will be a very intriguing video to watch. For those of you who think everything is overpriced, this video might fuel your delusion that this gear can be made in minutes and should cost whatever arbitrary dollar amount you deem as cheap.

Whether you are reading JTT or shopping for gear, you’ve probably seen the word “denier” as it pertains to fabric, especially nylon. If you haven’t seen the word denier, you may have seen the shorthand for it which is a letter “D” appended to a number like 1000D or 500D.

If you have ever wondered what that means, Mission Spec can help. They just released a video that tells you what denier is and explains some of how it affects the attributes of the fabric.

Mission Spec is introducing a change to their “Intructor Red” EOC Plate Carrers by adding reflective elements. This change makes good sense for allowing instructors to maintain visibility in low light training.

INSTRUCTOR RED EOC NOW WITH REFLECTIVE TAPE

From this point forward all Instructor Red EOCs will feature an integrated strip of highly reflective tape (front and back) to boost the plate carrier’s visual signature to the next level.  This design change does not impact the EOCs berry compliance or limited lifetime warranty.  The non-reflective Instructor Red EOC can still be requested by special order if desired. Individuals/Departments/Units requiring the previous version will need to contact Mission Spec directly via the website contact form or phone number located on the same page.

The reflective Instructor Red EOC is available now at MissionSpec.com or authorized Mission Spec dealers at no increase in cost.
