Magpul recently began shipping their Hunter 700 Stock and promised that their bottom metal kit and magazines would follow. That day has come. They are now shipping both their Bolt Action Magazine Well and PMAG 5 7.62 AC.

The Bolt Action Magazine Well is an easy to install detachable box magazine conversion for the Hunter 700 Stock that allows the user to make use AICS short action magazines. This kit is so easy to install and affordable that it will bring detachable magazine functionality to a whole new group of bolt action shooters.

The PMAG 5 7.62 is an all polymer and extremely affordable alternative to metal AICS pattern magazines. It will work with the above Bolt Action Magazine Well or existing AICS bottom metal set ups. The capacity can be increased to 6 rounds with a simple follower modification.

Magpul just announced that their Glock 19 compatible PMAG15 GL9 magazines are now shipping. These have the same features as their big brother, the PMAG17 GL9, including all polymer construction, high visibility follower, a marking matrix on the floor plate, easily removable floor plate, and indicator windows.

They also announced that their GL L-Plates will be available soon. The GL L-Plates are rubber overmolded, extended base plates (no additional capacity) that attach easily to the bottom of Magpul’s Glock magazines. They provide extra purchase for use with magazine wells and for stripping stuck magazines during a double feed malfunction.

Magpul released two interesting news items today. The first is that the long awaited M-LOK Rail Covers, Type 1 are now shipping. These lightweight covers fit extremely close to the rail and offer grip thanks to their flexible material. Think of them as M-LOK’s answer to picatinny rail ladder covers.

The second news item is the release of Magpul’s new Enhanced AR Magazine Release. This two piece magazine release button is extended and has increased surface area over the standard release. Both parts are made from hard anodized aluminum and all hardware is included.
