Griffin Armament Superior Precision Rifle Modular Mounts

Griffin Armament is a founded by two Army Infantry sniper qualified combat veterans. Although they are best known for their high-performance signature reducing sound suppressors, founders Austin and Evan have recently their lifelong passion for precision rifle and nearly a decade of notable research and development into a completely new product line, Superior Precision Rifle Modular Mounts.

Relatively featureless optics mounts have dominated the market space for nearly half a century. design and technology date back to the mid-1980s. This with the announcement of this new product line from Griffin Armament.

Griffin’s SPRM™ mounts feature a unique patent-pending design that splits the rings on two parallel but offset planesfor the integration of Accessory Interface Suite (AIS™) products on 5 mounting surfaces. This system affords left and right sides, 45-degree surfaces, as well as the top surface to be used for accessory interfaces. Griffin SPRM™ mounts unsurpassed flexibility and utility to the discriminating user. Left-handed or right-handed shooters are equally supported with the SPRM™ mounts and accessories.

At the time of this launch, The Superior Precision Rifle Modular Mounts are available in multiple heights30MM, 34MM, and 35MM ring sizes. They are designed to support as many optic and firearm combinations as possible. From rimfire trainers to heavy gas guns, there is a Griffin SPRM™ to fit your setup.

A heavy emphasis on anatomically correct positioning of optics was placed on AIS™ products, leading to the development of the RAPID TRANSITION OPTICS plates. RTO™ plates position secondary non-magnified optics on optical centerline relationship with the stock comb for comfortable, rapid, targeting with a simple roll of the host firearm. These plates currently support: Aimpoint , T1/T2, H1/H2, Comp M5, Sig Romeo, Vortex Spark, Trijicon RMR , SRO, Holosun HE507C HS407C, HS508C, Leupold Deltapoint, J Point, Optima, Dr Optic, Meopta, Insight microdot, Burris Fastfire, Vortex Venom, and Viper, CMORE STS, RTS, STS2, and Vortex razor. Picatinny RTO™ plates are also offered. Flat mount AIS™ products support a myriad of optics as well as Wilcox RAPTAR, Simrad, and Picatinny (STANAG 4694 “NATO Accessory Rail”).

SPRM™ mounts are manufactured in the USA at Griffin’s Wisconsin manufacturing facility. Mounts are machined on state-of-the-art multi-axis CNC equipment from 6061 T6 aluminum. Manufacturing in-house provides the ability to control quality at levels contract. The geometries of Griffin SPRM™ mounts are machined to part datums probed on each part. Prior to machining, costly manufacturing time is dedicated to each part with Renishaw probe strategies coupled with Renishaw RTS set tool magazines ensure critical geometries are machined to positional accuracies of +-.0002”rather than depending on human loading accuracy in a much looser relationship to workholding based datums traditional optic mount industry manufacturing processes. Bringing aerospace industry segmented production engineering concepts and inspection equipment to optics mount manufacturing enhance the state of optical mount quality. This persistent dedication to quality ensures that the theoretical mount quality and the actual production mount quality are inseparably linked for uncompromised, superior precision.

Griffin Armament ATM (Advanced Threaded Match) Barrels for Glock Handguns

Griffin Armament has launched their own line of threaded Glock barrels. The ATM (or Advanced Threaded Match) line of barrels comes with a compact carry comp, barely larger than a thread protector, for a limited time.

From Griffin Armament:

Griffin ATM (Advanced Threaded Match) Barrels are billet machined from 416R chromium stainless steel to exacting tolerances for the ultimate in drop in match performance. 5 axis machining done in a single work holding positions all critical dimensions on the breech ensuring theoretically perfect geometrical relationship of barrel, slide and locking lug. Chambers are honed and polished to ensure an extremely smooth surface finish and optimal reliability with a wide range of ammunition from training to duty ammo. Two years of research and testing provided the appropriate knowledge to machine the barrel dimensions for a perfect fitment; providing the best possible accuracy without sacrificing factory reliability. Designed with concealed carry users in mind, this barrel gives you the utility of accessory and suppressor support while providing uncompromising reliability. Don’t lose confidence in your carry handgun by using sub par components.

For a limited time this barrel comes with our patent pending Micro Carry Comp, a $64.95 value and an impressive performance add on for your favorite carry piece. The Micro Carry Comp ( MC²) provides a low signature (resists printing while carrying concealed), fits a wide range of holsters without modification, and provides noticeable recoil reduction for faster more accurate follow up shots with enhanced overall control of the firearm. The Micro Carry Comp’s miniature and lightweight package has near zero perceived effect on the handling and storage of the firearm.

Paladin 5 Silencer from Griffin Armament

Griffin Armament has released details regarding their new Paladin 5 Silencer.

User serviceable rifle sound suppressors are becoming more and more popular and requested. We have been fielding requests for them for probably the last 5 years with decent volume. It’s not applicable to all end users as a lot of users don’t really shoot a lot. But if you’re one of these guys that is on the range all the time or out on the back 40 shooting all the time it’s definitely really nice to have. Depending on the ammo you’re using how dirty or clean the powder burn is etc, how badly the twist in your barrel shaves copper off your bullets and throws molten lead in your suppressor… all of that adds up for people that shoot a lot. What do we mean by a lot?, we’re talking thousands and thousands of rounds so it’s not needed for most people, but if you are a heavy shooter and you want to be able to clean the suppressor and set it back to factory specs, that’s a really nice feature. Cans get heavier over time due to the carbon and copper deposits building up in the suppressor with use. And the Ratchet-lok™ end cap on the Paladin® suppressors makes them super easy to take apart and service but also ensures they stay together even under hard use.

Personally, I like them. The Paladin is right now my favorite series that we make. It’s definitely not the easiest suppressor to make but its its one of the best.

Griffin Armament – Revolution MOD3 Silencer Series

Griffin Armament dishes details on their versatile new pistol cans

Griffin Armaments’ Revolution Silencer Series brings new to market features and versatility in the pistol silencer class.  The Mod 3 Revolution Series silencers are now rated for 7.62×39, 300 BLK supersonic, and 5.56mm for hunting applications.

“We saw the market trending In our direction on our modular silencer concept and we thought it was time to kick it up a notch and get back on top of the dog pile. So we decided to re-engineer the product and improve it with a lot of versatility and some high pressure caliber application.” -Austin, Lead engineer and primary owner of Griffin stated. He continued, “With the HPA losing steam, and silencers continuing to have a tax stamp associated, we wanted to give the customers more usability in the product. Ultimately it would be great if the HPA were to pass in some form, but it doesn’t like it will anytime soon.  I think consumers are going to be putting their money into versatile products and we are happy to provide those for them.”

The Mod 3 Revolution Series silencers also now support the Griffin Taper Mount Muzzle Devices for hunting application.

In closing, Austin stated,

“I feel these silencers are great for people who want to buy something fun like a pistol silencer but who might want it to do double duty with centerfire and rimfire hunting applications.  There’s more to shooting than staying on the range and dumping magazines and these products cater to the practical outdoorsman just as much as the recreational shooter.  More states are hunting legal than ever before and it’s a great time to protect your hearing while enjoying one of America’s oldest traditions.”
