Don’t Take Your Foot Off the Pedal – Keep the ATF and Their Misdeeds on the Minds of Your Representatives

You’ve likely heard by now that ATF and DOJ have withdrawn their letter on stabilizing braces in which they sought to heap additional vague “guidance” on braced pistols. That is a battle won for sure… but the war is not over.

Ivan at Kit Badger recently posted a video that makes the excellent point that this is the perfect time to press for more oversight and even the abolishment of the ATF. Now is not the time to bask in a small win and wait for the next time the ATF threatens to turns us all into felons for owning something that was purchased legally. Now is the time to keep up the press. Now is the time to make sure your representatives know what that ATF has been up to and to urge them to action.

This small victory on stabilizing braced pistols is fresh in our minds but it will likely be very short-lived unless we keep up the fight.

Sneak Peek: Gadsden Dynamics Placards

Gadsden Dynamics has had numerous requests for placard versions of their chest rigs and all those wishes are about to come true. They recently showed us photos of mountable placards based on their Underground Partisan and Minimalist Assault Chest Rig designs.

The chest rigs on which these placards are based feature four magazine pouches but the placards feature 3 to better fit the front of a plate carrier. The placards will mount via the industry-standard buckle spacing with hook and loop backing.

The new placards should be available very early in 2021.

WNDSN Applied Sciences lab is pleased to announce the Night Ops Telemeter, new in stock for those working or adventuring under low-light conditions or in the dark.

The WNDSN Night Ops Telemeter is a re-release of an old classic. It is a simple, one-sided Telemeter engraved on transparent acrylic, made with a special slot to accommodate a 2″ mini chemlight for lateral illumination of the scale marks for night-time or low-light observations. The Night Ops Telemeter features a maximized set of scales with 7.5° x 7.5 x 500 units and is the first WNDSN product to use the new single-line font for 2021.

With the transparent acrylic and a special engraving technique, the Night Ops Telemeter makes use of the refraction property of the material which allows reading the scales against a light background where they appear dark, as well as in the dark, where they appear light — thus providing good contrast in most conditions.

The WNDSN Night Ops Telemeter is laser-engraved on glossy, transparent, 1/8″ (3 mm) thick acrylic stock, in the size of a standard credit card. New from Sicario IV Survival Knife and Spike from RE Factor Tactical

RE Factor Tactical has rolled out the latest items in their series of collaborations with Toor Knives. The new Sicario IV Survival Knife and Tactical Spike are now available.

The Sicario IV features a distinctive recurve tanto blade shape ground from CPMS35VN steel. The zig-zag textured handle slabs are a Toor Knives signature and the handle is shaped for both regular and reverse grips. It comes with a kydex sheath.

The Tactical Spike is a 6AL-4V level 5 titanium EDC tool. It features grooves for retention, a lanyard hole, and a bottle opener.
