CDM Gear Delta Wave Mossberg Safety

I know a few of you have been following the development of CDM Gear’s new Mossberg shotgun safety. The time has come. It is now available.

The Delta Wave Mossberg Safety was, in the words of CDM Gear:

created to give you a little more reach and control when activating the safety on your Mossberg 500, 590A1, 903SPX and others. By creating a second contact and control point closer to the operator, the safety can be rocked on and off more easily without excessive reach or even taking your thumb off the safety. An aggressive ,wide and deep serration assures grip and control while the wide, curved rear deck increases contact awareness in questionable situations. This gives hunters, 3 gunners, security professionals and everyone else increased control in cold/wet conditions or when wearing gloves. Works with 12 ga. and 20ga. Mossberg shotguns with a top mounted safety. USA Made!

RE Factor Tactical Drive-by Kit

The RE Factor Tactical Drive-by Kit is now available. This is a unique piece of gear that acts something like a bailout bag but with additional functionality that makes it more accessible in the vehicle but just as mobile should the user need to leave the vehicle.

DriveByKit-1

The Drive-by Kit mounts to a headrest via an adjustable harness. The load carrying component can be quickly detached from the harness with a quick tug on the grab handle and then it can be attached to the user via a heavy-duty spring clip. This allows the pouch to be a stable and accessible fighting platform when mounted in the vehicle and then go with the user should they have to leave the vehicle.

The load carrying component of the Drive-by Kit features a zippered, clam-shell opening pouch with internal elastic loop organization. This pouch is ideal for first aid components but versatile enough to hold other items. There are two open top AR-15 magazine pouches located behind the large clam-shell opening pouch. The entire load carrying component is also MOLLE compatible so it can be attached to any PALS webbing.

Preview: MagPod for PMAG GEN M3

MagPod is currently working on their PMAG GEN M3 baseplate. They are testing two different prototypes (shown in the image below) centered around their retaining clip design that will allow them to keep their front biased design.

magpod M3 preview

MagPod stated the following regarding the upcoming baseplate:

Even though the M3 PMAG baseplate slides on from the rear, we decided to make our version slide in from the FRONT, which allows us to keep the patented “forward biased” foot that MagPod is known for.

No firm release date yet – we are still evaluating the retaining clip options to see which holds up better to drop testing.

Whiskey Two-Four Modular Placard

Whiskey Two-Four’s new Modular Placard packs a ton of features into a compact package. It’s an easy way to add modular, easily swap-able load carriage ability to your plate carrier. Laser cut Hypalon construction makes it thin, light, and durable.

The Modular Placard will accept any MOLLE compatible pouch and features adjustable hanger height. It is compatible with the industry standard SwiftClip attachment system developed by Velocity Systems and Mayflower R&C so it will attach to wide variety of plate and armor carriers.

If your plate carrier or armor carrier does not have loop Velcro on the front to help stabilize the placard, Whiskey Two-Four offers a loop Velcro base panel that can be mounted on PALS webbing.

TacPack

Monthly subscription gift box are very popular right now. Typically, you pay a monthly subscription fee and a box full of mystery items is delivered to your door. The subscription service is able to provide a box that is worth significantly more than you paid because they work with manufacturers to procure promotional items or are able to secure low pricing on the basis of sheer volume. It seems that every industry has services like this now and the “tactical” world is not exempt.

TacPack is just one of the handful of subscription boxes in this space but they have caught my eye for the quality of the items that they are providing. Past box items have included RATS Tourniquets, small steel targets, EOS TiSharks, gun cleaning gear, Mechanix Gloves and other stuff you will actually use (except the TQ, hopefully you don’t need to use that… but definitely carry one). Their boxes cost $50 and they typically deliver a value 0f $70 or more according to TacPack.

I have checked out similar services before and it can be a lot of fun to rip into that mystery box when it arrives. Check out TacPack.
