RMJ Tactical News: Death Dealer Battle Axe and Last of the Drop Forged Shrikes

There is a lot of news coming out of RMJ Tactical these days including a new axe inspired from an iconic work of art and an iconic tomahawk undergoing some changes.

The new Death Dealer Battle Axe should be instantly recognizable for those who are fans of artist Frank Frazetta. It is inspired directly from Frazetta’s well known painting, Death Dealer. This axe is a joint offering from RMJ Tactical and Frazetta Jr. Enterprises.

From RMJ Tactical’s product page:

Each of these axes is individually serial numbered on the neck with the Frazetta signature on the other side. The head of the axe features RMJ Tactical’s new Death Dealer Battle Ax Seal as well as the Frazetta Seal of Authenticity.

From one icon to another… Frank Frazetta is an icon of fantasy art world and the RMJ Tactical Shrike and S13 are icons of the tactical tomahawk world. However, those iconic tomahawks are about to undergo some changes. RMJ Tactical is moving to a new shop and that new shop will come with new capabilities. The Shrike and S13 will no longer be drop forged. The next batch will be machined from billet like the rest of the RMJ Tactical line.

If you want a drop forged Shrike or S13, you better grab one from this current batch. See them at RMJ Tactical.

BRAZA EDC Folder from Bastion

Bastion just launched their newest EDC knife and the timing is great (for you) because they also happen to be hosting a Valentine’s Day sale (see image below).

The BRAZA EDC Folder follows on the success of their PARTIZAN EDC Folder. The PARTIZAN was more of a slim, sleek, gentleman’s knife with tactical sensibility but the BRAZA is larger, more substantial, but but still very refined. It features a 3.75″ D2 blade with a sort of clipped, bull nose shape and a very tall primary grind.

The handle is stainless steel and incorporates the frame lock and a ball bearing system that makes the blade fire very smoothly via the integrated flipper. There is a lanyard loop built into the back spacer and a pocket clip set up for right side tip up carry.

Griffin Armament PRIMO Gas Block .625″

Griffin Armament’s premium low-profile gas block for the AR-15, the PRIMO Gas Block, is now available for lightweight profile barrels with a .625″ gas block journal. Like the previous versions of the PRIMO, this one is machined from 416R steel with a QPQ finish. It comes pre-drilled, threaded, and with all the hardware necessary to install via screws or pinning.

Sneak Peek: Scalarworks Back Up Sights and PRO Mount

Scalarworks is developing a set of fixed back up iron sights and their Aimpoint PRO (or other 30mm RDS) Low Drag Mount could be ready as early as May of this year. The image below is chocked full of teasers.

Scalarworks has shared that the sights do not make use of their ratcheting thumb wheel QD feature as QD is unnecessary for back up sights. However, the sights obviously show the same penchant for minimal design and extreme skeletonization found on other Scalarworks products like the LDM series of optic mounts.
