RE Factor Tactical is clearing out some of their overstocked Operator and Survival Bands. These are the lowest prices I have seen on these and the quantities are pretty limited. Once certain size/color combos are gone, they will no longer be offered at the reduced price.
If you are like me, you are incapable of ever throwing away an Altoids Tin. When I look at them I see their potential as survival kit containers, survival candles, first aid kits, organizers, and anything else I can dream up. Green Mountain Sheaths, makers of very fine quality leather goods, is offering a classy way to keep your Altoids Tin close at hand with their Altoids Tin Pouch.
Green Mountain Sheaths makes the pouches from burly 6-7 ounce leather with hand tooled border detail. The tin is secured via a flap with a snap to keep everything bundled tightly. The rear of the Altoids Tin Pouch features a belt loop.
Survival and wildlife expert, author, gear designer, and all-around good guy Joe Flowers has started a survival/bushcraft company called Bushcraft Global. The company offers jungle survival training in the jungles of the Tanimboca Natural Reserve in Columbia. Their 2 week long trips are designed to be reasonably priced and hassle free. The $2000 cost includes hotel stays (when you aren’t staying in the jungle), food, transportation to and from the airport, and 5 nights in a cabin in Taninmboca, a knife and machete from TOPS Knives, and more.
The skills taught on these trips are many, varied, and versatile. The skills may be practiced in a true jungle setting but they are adaptable to nearly any environment.
Battle Systems LLC just created a clearance page that has some great deals on their excellent MPIL. I have an MPIL with me pretty much all the time and I highly suggest that you pick up 2 or 3 of them to stash in your EDC bag, car, hiking gear, or anywhere else you might need a solid signalling system. I have never seen their prices this low on MPILs.
