New Fire Starting Kit from CRT Adventure Gear

Ft Worth, TX – CRT Adventure Gear is proud to introduce the Patent
Pending SP3 KITv1, a self-contained, discreet, lightweight fire starting
kit that’s ready for your next adventure.

Named for the third “survival priority”, fire, the SP3 KITv1was initially
developed as a low profile emergency fire starting kit for everyday carry
(EDC) in urban environments. As such, it uses the inconspicuous
form factor of a ballpoint pen to help it fly under the radar.

However, hunters, campers, backpackers, wilderness Search and Rescue,
and other adventurers who need fire starting provisions also appreciate
its adaptability, form and function. The SP3 KITv1 not only fits anywhere
you would normally find a ballpoint pen, it is easily broken down or
modified to meet a wide range of specific kitting needs.

Key Features/Contents:

Magpul DAKA Magnetic Field Tray

Magpul’s new DAKA Magnetic Field Trays may be a godsend for those of you who hunt and shoot on public land or other unimproved shooting ranges. These types of place don’t come with shooting tables or work benches. You end up working on your guns on tailgates, logs, or directly on the ground where the risk of loss for small parts is high.

These trays can be stored completely flat and then turned into deep trays when needed by snapping the corners together. The trays are made out the same bomb-proof material found in other DAKA products and the bottom has an embedded magnet to keep small parts in place. The DAKA Magnetic Field Tray is available in two sizes.

These are a no-brainer addition to a range bag.

The RHINO Hanger from Tough Hook

Tough Hook has launched their third hanger – the RHINO Hanger. While the Original Tough Hook and the Tough Hanger are focused more on gear, the new RHINO Hanger is designed for hanging heavy clothing, outerwear, and general household use.

The RHINO Hanger has the same tough resin material and i-beam construction found on previous Tough Hook offerings. It is more compact and lighter in weight than previous offerings while still being designed to bear a lot of weight (150 lb capacity).

Now you can hang your shell layers, insulation layers, and other technical clothing right next to your chest rigs, plate carriers, battle belts… all on Tough Hooks.

Agawa Canyon Inc. Rebrands as Agawa and Releases Boreal15 and Boreal24 Saws

Agawa Canyon has rebranded as Agawa and launched two new saws in the Boreal15 and Boreal24 as companions to their original product, the Boreal21 folding bow saw.

Agawa Gear’s Boreal saws are among the best folding bow saws on the market. The entire line shares the same features with the difference between models being the size. The new Boreal15 takes a standard 15″ bow saw blade and the new Boreal24 takes a standard 24″ bow saw blade. These, along with the 21″ blade of the Boreal21, are common sizes that can be found in most hardware stores or farm supply stores though the Agawa blades are excellent.

I have owned a Boreal21 for a couple of years now and found it to be excellent. There are a number of features that make these saws stand out. They open in close in seconds without the need to touch the blade at all. They offer a similar amount of clearance to most non-folding bow saws allowing for cuts in large diameter wood. They tension automatically as part of their folding design. The 6063 aluminum frame is light, durable, and rigid. Finally, their slim form when folded completely covers the blade and is easy to slip in a pack. Based on my experience, these are excellent saws.

Speedbox Launches Endurance-70

Speedbox has released their new Endurance-70, an updated replacement for the Voyager-70. The new Endurance-70 makes the improved, updated features of the Endurance-40 available in a larger, 70 gallon size.

The new Endurance-70 has large, no-flat tires and a milled aluminum handle to allow easy transport. The handle is attached to the body via steel plates to ensure it never stresses the rotomolded polymer construction. It also has two steel locking plates for use with padlocks (padlocks not included).

The lid is secured via two side-mounted cam locks that help pull the lid against a large water-resistant gasket. The Endurance-40 that I own and reviewed has the same camming lid and gasket setup and it survived a trip down a creek without water ingress.

The Endurance-70 is optimized for the same 463-L pallet as the original Voyager-70. However, the Endurance-70 features improved stacking and locking functionality and more lift points.
