Maxpedition EXCELSA

There is a new titanium frame lock knife option on the market from an unlikely source. Maxpedition has introduced the limited edition EXCELSA knife and it has some very nice features for the price (compared to other Ti frame lock knives).

It features a 6Al4V Titanium alloy handle with frame lock and tip up or tip down, deep carry pocket clip. The drop point blade is flat ground from D2 tool steel and available in two sizes (2.9″ and 3.6″). It has ramped thumb studs and a mechanism that prevents lock bar overtravel.

Custom ESEE Laser Strike Handle Slabs

The-Knife-Connection has expanded their line of custom machined G-10 handles to include the ESEE Laser Strike. The new handles retain the bow drill pivot functionality of the original handles. They are also relieved at the blade end of the grip to aid in various techniques that require a pinch grip. Like the other grips in this line, these have curves and swells in all the right places.

BHK Batwing Pro Trainers

Too often, knife makers are willing to market a knife as a serious self defense blade but then they never offer a blunt training drone version which seems kind of counter-intuitive to me. Blind Horse Knives is now offering an aluminum version of their Batwing Pro that we mentioned earlier this month. You’ll have to call to order. Check out the live version of the Batwing Pro at Blind Horse Knives, but hurry because it will be gone in a couple of days.
