Perroz Designs 2 Round Shotgun Card

The new Perroz Designs 2 Round Shotgun Card is a great concept. Unlike most shotgun cards and side saddles, it is designed to mount on the ejection port side of the shotgun in order to facilitate an emergency reload. This is an advantageous location for the way that most people execute emergency reloads with a shotgun.

The Perroz Designs 2 Round Shotgun Card is secured to the shotgun via adhesive Velcro. I have been using shotgun cards for years and there is no issue with the Velcro loosening under recoil. You may have to replace the adhesive part from time to time if the adhesive starts to break down, but the “industrial” application adhesive Velcro is surprisingly resilient in my experience.

Additional cards can be carried on your chest rig, plate carrier, or anywhere else that has loop side Velcro available.

The B5 Mayan Receives an Upgrade

The B5 Systems Mayan is one of my favorite logos in the industry. I guess that since that whole 2012 end of the calender thing turned out to be a whole lot of nothing, the B5 Mayan is celebrating with some new furniture for his AR.

The previous version sported a quad rail and an Enhanced SOPMOD Stock.

The latest version of the Mayan is rocking his SOPMOD Bravo Stock and KeyMod Hand Guards.

Fight and Flight Tactical BLiSS

There are a lot of slings with a lot of features and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing if they are well made. However, when those features are poorly executed and unnecessary, they can have a negative effect on the reliability of something that should be pretty simple. When you think about, a sling really doesn’t have to do much. All it really needs to do is keep your rifle/shotgun tied to you and that is exactly the thinking behind the Fight and Flight Tactical BLiSS.

Fight and Flight BLiSS

The BLiSS isn’t anything truly new. It is a fairly basic single point sling that has a handful of attachment options and a removable airmesh pad for comfort. This sling is a throw back to simpler slings that served their purpose without a bunch of potential failure points. It doesn’t do much because it doesn’t have to.

IMI 77GR OTM 5.56X45

IMI 77gr

MK262 is a proven performer but it doesn’t come cheap. Most MK262 ammunition cost nearly $1 a round and that is why it is nice to see Widener’s Reloading bring an MK262 clone to market at a lower price (as low as $.78 per round).

According to Widener’s, this IMI 77GR OTM 5.56X45 is made on the same lines as the IDF’s MK262 and the only difference between this and real deal MK262 is some additional sealant. I have shot quite a bit of IMI ammo over the years and it has been universally good so I have high hopes for this ammo.
