The image above may not look like much at first glance but it is actually pretty darn cool. You are looking at the very first AK that was built in America, by Americans, with a front trunnion, bolt, and bolt carrier that were all hammer forged here in the states. That is a whole lot of American and a whole lot of hammer forged goodness.
Kudos to DDI for pushing the boundaries of American made AKs.

Armageddon Gear just rolled out their latest shooting bag – the Chinese Cheater Bag. This barricade bag measures 8.5″ x 6.5″ x 4″ and has a number of straps. The perimeter webbing straps are used to adjust the firmness of the bag to suit the shooter’s preference. The elastic straps on top can be used to attach the bag to your rifle (or yourself).
I have found that barricade bags have application outside of precision shooting competition. A bag like the Chinese Cheater Bag can be attached to hunting rifle (so you don’t have to carry it separately) and goes a long way toward locking you into the rest on your tree stand or blind.

Before there was KeyMod, M-LOK, and Picatinny rail, there were improvised ways of mounting flashlights on rifles like duct tape, hose clamps, and ranger bands. Abner Miranda recently released a video that shows how effective, and even advantageous, ranger bands (bicycle inner tube sections) can be as a light a mount.
