RE Factor Tactical Giveaway

RE Factor Tactical just released details of their epic 15,000 Facebook fan giveaway. There is about $400 worth of RE Factor Tactical gear in the pot and additional sponsors are joining already.

Currently, they are sitting at about 5,000 “Likes” so there is some work to be done. They are asking that their fans share the giveaway and stand by for details/clues/tasks that will be released once they reach 15,000 fans.

All you have to do for now is “like” RE Factor Tactical on Facebook and share the giveaway picture.

Upcoming RE Factor Tactical Hat

RE Factor Tactical (REFT) gave me a sneak preview of a ridiculously slick hat that they are getting ready to roll out soon. It is as of yet unnamed but with the features this hat has, they could name it just about anything and you will still want it. This new hat is packed with slick touches.

REFT started with a mesh paneled Flexfit hat. The mesh keeps the hat breathable and Flexfit hats are some of the best fitting on the market. The front panels of the hat feature a 2.5″ x 3″ loop field with neatly embroidered edges for attaching patches. There is 1″ x 1″ loop square that replaces the crown button which makes the hat work better with hearing protection and allows users to attach an IR reflective tab.

The interior of the hat features an additional 1″ x 1″ loop square for storing your IR tab when not in use. As if all of the previously mentioned features aren’t cool enough, the inside of the front panels are lined with blaze orange like a VS-17 signal panel.

REFT Hat

New Products from ECHO NiNER

ECHO NiNER (E9) is about to drop some great looking new gear! I am currently using their Camera Strap (review coming soon) and I am thrilled with it so I was pretty excited when they sent me the details of their upcoming products.

E9 made a name for themselves with their Camera Strap. They are following the success of that strap with a new one – the E9 Light Speed Camera Strap. The new strap will be similar to the original Camera strap but will be simpler. It will be constructed from mil-spec tubular webbing with ITW hardware and para-cord attachment loops. The Light Speed Camera Strap will be longer and have more adjustment than the original at 27″ to 52″. It will be available in black and coyote brown.

If you have ever wished for a way to carry small items like a remote or spare memory cards on your camera, then the E9 Mini Flat Pouch might be just what you are looking for. The E9 Mini Flat Pouch is a small (3” x 2.5” folded), low-profile, and versatile pouch that can be attached to a belt, a camera strap, or para-cord. It can carry small items and serve as a ID/Velcro Patch holder. It will be available in black and coyote brown.

I saved my favorite for last. The upcoming E9 Head Lamp Pouch is one of the most innovative pouches that I’ve seen in a while. It turns a Surefire Minimus or Icon headlamp into a MOLLE mountable task light with its own storage. This pouch also works with the GoPro camera and allows the user to film without opening the pouch. E9 makes use of a fairly new material, Hypalon, to construct the body of the Head Lamp Pouch. Hypalon is light weight, very durable, and has a sort of rubbery texture that should offer some protection to the contents of the pouch. The pouch is compact enough (3.5” x 3.5” x 1.5”) to be mounted high center on a plate carrier and will be available in black or Multicam.

E9 is also working on a Deluxe version of their camera strap which may be released at a later date. All of these products are made in the USA and will be available soon at ENiNER.com. I have all three of the above products inbound for review.

Manticore Arms Scorpion Grip GEN 2 for the SIG 556

You may already know of Manticore Arms for their line of excellent muzzle devices for the AK family of weapons. However, they also develop products for the AR-15 and the SIG 556. We don’t talk about the SIG 556 but I know there are a few of you readers out there who shoot them.

Until now SIG 556 shooters haven’t had a lot of choices when it comes to grips. Manticore Arms has recently introduced their generation 2 Scorpion Grip for the SIG 556. The new generation grip features improved texture and a wider variety of available colors. It comes with all the necessary mounting hardware.

Manticore Arms states that the Scorpion Grip will fit all models of SIG 556, SIG 522, SIG 551A1, SIG 556 Classic, SIG 556R, SIG 556 Pistols, and the early SIG 556 with the M4 stock.  If you have a specific model of SIG 55X series rifle not listed, you can contact Manticore Arms to see if the grip will work for you.

Shellback Tactical Banshee Plate Carrier Approved by LAPD

Shellback Tactical is understandably proud about some recent news. Their Banshee Plate Carrier has been approved for individual officer purchase by LAPD. I reviewed the Banshee and found to be an excellent value so I am not surprised to see this kind of recognition.

From their release:

The BANSHEE RIFLE PLATE CARRIER-(BLACK) Part# 814773 has just been approved by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on their approved gear list. Officers can now purchase and use the BANSHEE along with the below accessories for the Banshee. This was a long process where we worked closely with the LAPD through the T&E process. We are excited and honored to have made it through their approval process.
