One of my favorite caps, the RE Factor Tactical Blasting Cap, is now available in Multicam. It retains all the loop material fields and the internal signalling panel but the mesh side panels of the tan version have been replaced with solid Multicam material.

PerSec Systems and Unity Tactical have collaborated to bring you custom Kydex holsters with a special cut that is designed to accommodate Unity Tactical’s ATOM optic mounting system for handguns. The ATOM system is really catching on in large part of its ability to mount the Aimpoint T1 and its ability to be updated as micro red dot sight technology advances.
The ATOM cut is available as an option on all of PerSec Systems’ holsters. The ATOM system will work with other optic cut holsters but the introduction of holsters designed specifically to accommodate the system is a mark of a well developed concept.

Warrior Trail has been refining their Modular BALCS Vest for some time now and it is now available. The vest can support a number of different armor configurations – stand alone plates, plates with soft armor backers, or plates with BALCS cut soft armor. It features plenty of PALS webbing coverage, a drag handle, a removable outer cummerbund which supports ESAPI side plates, user configurable waist straps that can be removed, and shoulder straps with removable shoulder pads.

There is a lot of merit to the concept of layering your gear and especially to having the ability to dock a chest rig to your armor carrier but not all armor carriers are set up to do this. That is where the EGL Porker Chest Rig Interface Kit comes in.
The EGL Porker Chest Rig Interface Kit consists of everything you need to dock chest rigs like the HSP D3CR, Mayflower R&C Chest Rigs, and the EGL VOCR to just about any armor carrier that has PALS webbing on the upper part of the front plate pocket. Ther heart of the kit is a compact admin pouch that mounts to a 2 column by 6 row PALS field via MALICE Clips. It has a female side release buckle on each side that serve as the top docking point for the chest rig.
The kit also includes hook Velcro panels that can be staged on your PC to accept the hook Velcro on the back of the chest rig and 4 adjustable side attachment straps to secure the sides of the chest rig. The Velcro panels are secured with MALICE Clips and the side attachment straps are secured with ITW G-Hooks which makes them very easy to attach and remove from the armor carrier.

I have always thought that the Mystery Ranch Load Sling had a lot of potential for use as a versatile, day pack (or even multi-day) if it was properly outfitted. Apparently, I am not the only one because FHF Gear recently showed off a personal project that turns the MR Load Sling into a day pack with a ton of functionality.
The Lightweight Mystery Ranch Load Sling Add-On Pack is a compact pack made to mount to the back panel of the Load Sling. At 13″ x 8.5″ x 4″ and roughly 1100 cu. in., it has just enough capacity to pack the essentials while leaving the load sling clear for packing out animals or carrying other oddly shaped payloads. The pack is made from Litelock material to keep weight to a minimum.
The addition of the Lightweight Mystery Ranch Load Sling Add-On Pack to the Load Sling creates a sort of mini-Crew Cab effect. I own a Crew Cab and find it to be very versatile but it can be overkill for some applications. The Crew Cab weighs in at almost 4 pounds without the NICE Frame while FHF’s compact creation weighs less than 2 pounds including the Load Sling (without the NICE Frame).
The intended purpose of this bag appears to be hunting, but I suspect that a pack like this is versatile enough to have application beyond just hunting. Cool ideas like this are why I always have my eyes on custom gear makers. Hopefully, FHF gear will add this pack to their regular line up.
