Cdh-Tac Finland Makes World’s Cutest Dump Pouch

Can dump pouches be cute? This one that Cdh-Tac Finland made for their personal use is kind of cute I guess. I mean look at it. It’s so little and it’s even trying to act tough by posing next to those cigarettes…

Seriously though, this little guy serves a purpose. I have found that many dump pouches are larger than what I really need and take up more PALS real eastate than I prefer. This one (it really needs a name) folds into a very compact 2 column by 2 row package when not in use and unfolds into a pouch large enough to hold 3 primary mags. It also features a mesh bottom which is a nice addition.

There is no indication that Cdh-Tac Finland will be producing these but, given that they are a custom gear maker, I am sure that you could twist their arm for a fair price. I personally hope they put it into their regular line-up.

Buy One, Give One Slings at Blue Force Gear

How cool is this?!?! If you buy a Blue Force Gear Victory single point or two point sling between now and Sunday (8/10/14), they will send one to the friend of your choosing. The only catch is the friend’s mailing address has to be in different state from your primary mailing address.

From Blue Force Gear:

Buy One Give One – it’s not your typical sale page.  Here’s how it works: you buy any item off the B1G1 page and we’ll send a second duplicate product to your friend, family, co-worker, or shooting buddy of your choice.  The second address must be in a different state than your primary “Ship To” address.  Just put the second address in the comments section and we’ll get both packages where they need to go with economy shipping for just one shipping cost.  You win, your buddy wins, and we’re happy knowing we’re getting our kit into the hands of those that appreciate good gear.

If Slings Could Talk

Imagine for a moment that you operate a business that creates and sells quality AK parts here in the States but you also do various training for all kinds of interesting people in far flung corners of the world. One day while working in an unnamed armory in Kabul, you come across one of the slings that you designed and sold laying in a box looking battered and worn but still very much usable. I bet that sling could tell some stories!

That is exactly the situation that faced Joe at Echo Nine Three. He posted a picture of the situation with a bit of commentary on the E93 Facebook Page.

From E93:

I made a visit to an undisclosed armory in Kabul today. To my surprise I saw one of our first 100 Dual Mode Slings (stainless polygon hub) in a box with several other. No idea how it came to be here. But, apparently it took the abuse well.
