Hot Bacon Alert! – PIG FDT Bravo FR Glove

SKD Tactical has announced the development of an addition to their excellent PIG Full Dexterity Tactical Gloves (FDT) line. The newest glove in the lineup will be called the PIG FDT Bravo FR Glove and it is chocked full of the same great features executed with premium materials.

The Bravo FR will have the same great fit and dexterity that you are used to with the current PIG FDT Alpha Gloves but they will make use of premium, fire resistant materials like Nomex and leather. One of the best things about the Alpha Gloves is the thin material used in the trigger finger and the Bravo FR Glove will retain that feature in the form of ultra thin sheep leather.

  • Multi-material Nomex and leather construction

  • Ultra thin 100% sheep leather trigger finger

  • Incredibly sensitive single layer 100% goat leather palm

  • Wider touchscreen compatible thread stitching on index finger and thumb

  • Flame resistant logo stamping

  • Lower profile Velcro minimizing abrasion on gear

  • Finger, palm and cuff fit modifications for heightened dexterity

The new PIG FDT Bravo FR Gloves will be available for pre-order on October 12th with an expected retail price of $67.95. The gloves are expected to ship in November.

Armageddon Gear Precision Rifle Sling

I have been using an Armageddon Gear Precision Rifle Sling for almost a year now on my precision AR-15s. It has served me well and served me well in the field conditions in which I generally shoot. The sling is pretty simple but a little bit of instruction will give you even more ideas for how to use it which is why Armageddon Gear created an instructional video for the sling (below).

I do most of my shooting in the woods on a pretty rustic range. That means that a lot of standard shooting positions may not work because of tall grasses/shrubs or uneven terrain. I often end up in a kneeling or sitting position to get off the ground a bit and being able to sling up quickly and easily is a real boon for these positions. I also use a bipod/tripod/shooting sticks with a cradle attached to get above the grass and using the sling as described for barricades in the video really helps stabilize that position.

If you are a hunter, you are probably realizing that those conditions sound pretty familiar. This sling is for more than precision rifle competition. It would be right at home on a hunting rifle.
