Molded Burnsed Socket

The Molded Burnsed Socket is a polymer version of the previously reviewed Burnsed Socket (machined aluminum). It has all the same functionality as the original and allows the user to convert a 2 point sling into a single point sling on the fly.

The new Molded Burnsed Socket features a metal QD swivel socket molded into a body made from the same durable resin used in Blue Force Gear’s other polymer hardware. The plastic can be color matched to the sling (or contrasted for visibility) and is extremely durable. It also costs considerably less than the aluminum version.

Large RACKminus and SPLITminus

Blue Force Gear has also released larger versions of their excellent RACKminus and SPLITminus chest rigs. The large versions sport 16 columns of MOLLE real estate so you can carry more gear. That is 4 more columns than the original chest rigs.

Hopefully there is a small 8 column version of the RACKminus in the works!

Fight and Flight Tactical BURRO

The BURRO (Basic Utility Rugged Rear-pocket Organizer) from Fight and Flight Tactical is a wallet designed to organize all your wallet stuff so you can be less of a disgusting slob.

It has a plenty of room for all your cash (yeah right), 6 slots for your credit cards (or credit card shaped items), interior and exterior clear plastic ID window, pen loops, and even a small elastic pocket for your little keychain sized rewards cards (you can’t earn free coffee if you don’t carry the card). There is even enough room to carry a checkbook (remember those?).

It is made in Kentucky from 2 layers of 500D Cordura nylon so it will probably wear through multiple pairs of pants and your backside long before you wear it out. It even has a bit of loop Velcro on the exterior so you can display a patch.

Fight and Flight Tactical calls it an admin pouch for your butt which is weird but don’t hold that against the BURRO. It’s pretty slick. Check out the BURRO at Fight and Flight Tactical and ditch the Costanza wallet.

Echo Nine Three V3/SB

The SB47 Stabilizing Brace is essentially the AK-47 version of the well known SB15 AR Pistol Stabilizing Brace. It allows you add an “arm brace” that also happens to work well when shouldered to your AK pistol.

Echo Nine Three has been developing a sling plate for the SB47, the V3/SB, for some time now and it is nearing completion. They showed the most recent prototype on their Facebook page (pictured below). It will be made from steel like their other sling plates and Melonite processed for durability and corrosion resistance.
