Apex Tactical Specialties Armorer Block

Apex Tactical Specialties has released their Armorer Block for the S&W M&P and GLOCK line of pistols.

Apex Tactical Amorers Block

The Armorer Block is designed to secure your M&P or GLOCK handgun while you replace or remove parts. It has 2 moveable bosses that allow the frame to conform to all sizes and calibers of GLOCK and M&P handguns. The block has a series of slots that allows pins to be driven out while it holds the frame. It also has slots that allow you to anchor the base of the striker modules of the both the M&P and GLOCK for easy disassembly of the modules and a slot that can secure an M&P trigger to make trigger bar replacement easier.

I think they should change the name to the Apex Tactical Specialties Third Hand, because this is exactly what so many of us were actually wishing for when we wished for a third hand during a project.

NavELite with HzO WaterBlock Technology

NavELite_HzO_3

NavELite has announced an agreement with HzO Inc. to provide their WaterBlock technology for use in the NavELite wrist compass. WaterBlock technology is a microscopic film that is applied to the internal electric components of the compass. WaterBlock technology allowed the NavELite to function after submersion and even during submersion. It adds no weight and does not change the functionality or appearance of the compass.

I recently had the chance to review the NavELite wrist compass and found it to be excellent. The addition of WaterBlock should make it even better.

Hill People Gear Ute Internal Frame Backpack

Details are now finalized on the new Hill People Gear Ute Internal Frame Backpack. It will cost $395 and should be available shortly. You can find just about everything that you want to know about the Ute in this video that HPG recently shared.

It looks like a tremendous pack that should challenge the likes of Mystery Ranch and Kifaru in terms of quality, design, and features.

Battle Arms Development BAD-BSM

I friend of mine recently sheared the bolt off of his MATECH Back Up Iron Sight which is actually quite common. Rather than bother with another flimsy screw and bracket, I pointed him to the BAD-BSM from Battle Arms Development. You know them for their selectors, but they also make a much improved screw and bracket for the MATECH.

The components of the BAD-BSM are thicker and stronger than the parts they replace. The parts are machined from bar stock and are designed to be less likely to be over-torqued.

Blade-Tech Appendix IWB Holster

I have been casually looking for a Smith& Wesson J-Frame Revolver AIWB holster to try and Blade-Tech told me that I should keep on eye on their new releases. Sure enough, Blade-Tech has a relatively new Appendix IWB Holster and they recently introduced a J-Frame version.

Blade-Tech J-frame AIWB

Their new straight drop (no negative cant) AIWB holster is made from Kydex. It features an injection molded plastic clip that is designed to function with a wide variety of belt types and widths. It is made from thinner material than what Blade-Tech typically uses so that it keeps a lower profile. it is even molded to allow the use of Crimson Trace Laser Grips.
