Battle Arms Development Selector Cores Now Available

It is very easy to end up with several spare levers if you buy 2 or 3 Battle Arms Development selectors. I have a ton of them laying around and I have often wished that I could just buy one of their selector cores so that I could make use of them. I guess Battle Arms Development read my mind because you can now purchase their BAD-ASS cores separately.

90degree

The core comes with the screws necessary to mount your spare levers. If you need one of the excellent KNS stainless selector detents that Battle Arms Development includes with their complete BAD-ASSs, they can be added to your purchase as an option. The regular 90 degree BAD-ASS and the BAD-ASS Short Throw cores are both available.

This is a really reasonably priced way to get a BAD-ASS into one of your carbines if you already have the levers.

These notebooks feature 45 pages of Rite in the Rain paper and several plastic pages of survival, navigation, and E&E tips. Best of all, they feature a set of clear map tool pages with map scales, UTM grid, and protractor.

Rite in the Rain notebooks are a constant companion for me and this is the Rite in the Rain notebook at its fullest potential. Check them out at BladeHQ.

Smith Enterprise Vortex Shorty

The Smith Enterprise Vortex was the first flash suppressor that I ever purchased. At the time, nothing else could really match its flash reduction performance. I can still remember testing it during a night shoot and being in absolute awe of it. I still have that first Vortex on a semi-precision AR-15 where it performs very, very well even after who knows how many thousands of rounds. Believe it or not, this post isn’t about that first Vortex Flash Suppressor. It is about a new version that I recently came across.

Spike’s Tactical sells an exclusive Vortex Shorty! It has a shorter 1.75″ overall length compared to the original Vortex’s 2.25″ overall length. If it has similar flash suppression capability, this may be just the ticket for those who want a more compact flash suppressor.

Clever and Easy Bogota Entry Tools Hiding Spot

Here is a simple way to hide your Bogota Entry Tools on your everyday carry gear, tactical gear, or uniform. Just hide them under a Velcro backed patch. The patch keeps them secure, out of sight, and easy to access. I will admit that this is likely not the hardest to locate hiding spot but as long as you aren’t walking around peering in windows like some kind of a creep, it is probably sufficient.

Check out the selection of Bogota Entry Tools at SerePick.com and JTT partner VigilantGear.com.

The credit for this idea goes to Usual Suspect Network Administrator and all around nice guy Brian C.
