WarBricks.com

I have a lot of Lego fans living under my roof (including myself) and you probably do too. In fact, during these days of shelter-in-place warnings and pandemics, Lego has helped get us through. However, maybe you are like me and have always wished that Lego would make some more red-blooded sets. You know, things like historic war machines. Well, that’s where WarBricks.com comes in.

WarBricks.com was started as a family homeschool project by the family behind Megiddo Tactical Group. As a homeschooler who has also involved my family in online retail, this tugs at my heartstrings. They are an official USA seller of COBI, a Polish maker of the types of brick models you wish you had as a kid. They have historic planes, tanks, ships, and more.

COBI bricks are completely compatible with Lego so when you are done building, you can dump into that huge bin that every family has and make your own creations. Then again, these are the types of sets that you may want to keep assembled and display.

We’re all cooped up at home right now. It seems like a great time to do some building with your family.

New to Guns? Kit Badger Launches Firearms Basics Video Series

It’s a strange time to be a new gun owner. Experienced gun owners are usually more than willing to take a new gun owner to the range or at least help them find training. However, with Corona Virus, mandatory shelter in place orders, social distancing, and the like, those types of activities aren’t really possible.

If you are new gun owner, I highly suggest that you take in as much info as you can so that you, and those around you, stay safe. I recommend starting with Kit Badger’s new Firearms Basics series. The series will have several installments that cover topics from the 4 basic safety rules, to safe storage, and more. The first two installments are already available with additional installments coming daily.

MISSION SPEC PUSHES BATTLEFIELD MEDICINE IN NEW DIRECTION

Mission Spec, LLC (KS) is revealing their latest answer to the battlefield medicine question. Past customers will recognize the acronym EOC™ as Mission Spec’s original plate carrier design that was discontinued in December 2017 and replaced with EC2™. The company has decided to re-designate it from Essentials Only Carrier™ to Essential Oils Carrier™.

Innovation like this will allow combat and law enforcement life savers quick and ready access to a myriad of potential analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial solutions. Some suspect that these types of extracts could potentially replace broad spectrum antibiotics such as the Levofloxacin (500mg) or Moxifloxacin (400mg) (TCCC recommendation for oral antibiotics) commonly found in “Combat Pill Packs”. However, it is not intended as a replacement for intramuscularly (IM) injected or intravenously (IV) infused drugs such as Cefotan/cefotetan (2 grams [IV or IM] once every 12 hours) or Invanz/ertapenem (1 gram [IV or IM] once every 24 hours).

Future associated products include a MOLLE compatible, crush proof, coconut oil (or other carrier oil) dispenser pouch. This will allow for easy field-dilution by medical personnel.  Projected availability for Q3/2020.

The Essential Oils Carrier does come pretreated with lavender to promote a calm atmosphere for both the medical personnel and patient during combat operations.
