NeoMag RASC

If you shoot and carry revolvers, you are likely already familiar with the excellent TUFF Products QuickStrips. They are a slim, lightweight way to carry a reload for your favorite wheelgun and they just became even easier to carry thanks to NeoMag.

The NeoMag RASC is a pocket clip that clamps on the end of QuickStrip. It is machined in house at NeoMag from 6061 aluminum and includes a steel pocket clip. This simple addition to the QuickStrip makes a lot of sense. It allows the QuickStrip to lay flat against the wearer and ensures that it is oriented such that it is immediately accessible from the pocket.

Without the RASC, speed strip style loaders tend to drop to the bottom of the pocket and move around. With the RASC, the strip would be in the same place and orientation every time.

New from RE Factor Tactical: The Advanced Slickster

The Advanced Slickster Plate Carrier is a product of RE Factor Tactical and Ferro Concept’s unique partnership.  We teamed up together to create a plate carrier that fits a large number of missions sets to include high vis kinetic operations to low vis work.

Highlights:
  • Ferro Concept’s tested Slickster base
  • PTT Loops on front of vest
  • Integrated Kangaroo pocket for magazines/essential equipment
  • Elastic comms wires
  • 2 x integrated radio pouches capable of fitting up to a PRC-152 Radio
  • 4 x 6″ Zipped admin pocket capable of holding a passport or similar sized item
  • Elastic cummerbund with 4 x magazine carriers
  • Added elastic retainers to cummerbund carrier for magazine retention
  • MOLLE Laser cut back panel

A Unique Plate Carrier Setup

We opted to create a unique carrier setup after years of frustration of wearing plate carriers that were good, but not quite good enough.  This plate carrier went through extensive testing overseas with individuals actively participating in the war on terror.  We continued to develop the plate carrier based on the actual current needs of combat.
Our goal was to set out and create the best plate carrier on the market with features that could: maintain current comms systems, carry multiple magazines, attach equipment to the back, hold standard PTT systems, hold important documents and maps, fit in both a high vis environment and a low vis environment and most importantly be worn comfortably for long periods in a multitude of environments.

Low Profile Plate Carrier

If needed, the Advanced Slickster Plate Carrier can be stripped of it’s equipment to maintain roughly the same print as the traditional Slickster.  Our goal was to create a low profile/slick plate carrier that could adapt to fit your mission needs.  While this isn’t the most low profile system on the market it is the most low profile carrier that can still be adapted for use in high vis kinetic environments if needed.

Tactical Plate Carrier

The Advanced Slickster can also be adapted for use as a high vis, fully tactical plate carrier.  We went through great lengths to create a system that could fully accomodate multiple comms systems.  Each edge of the vest comes with a number of elastic loops to help you route your radio/antenna wires.  In addition, we included two large radio pockets for individuals using dual comms set ups.  When not used, the second radio pocket can fit other mission essential items such as smoke, magazines, flares etc.  We included an adjustable elastic loop on the top of the radio pockets to ensure your items stay securely in place.  We also included a special cut flap on the front of the carrier that can accommodate a number of different PTTs on the market.  We also included 4 vertical MOLLE slits next to each side of the admin pocket for further PTT placement options if needed.
Next, we optimized the cummerbund to be able to securely carry a wide variety of rifle magazines, smoke or other mission essential equipment.  In the cummerbund we added four pockets with adjustable elastic retainers that will help keep your magazines in place during periods of intense activity.

Magpul® Limited Edition Frame Lock- Rigger

The Rigger is a limited edition, precision-engineered cutting tool constructed of premium materials and featuring signature Magpul form and function. This first-ever Limited Edition Frame Lock was designed by the team at Magpul and is an expression of Magpul’s design ethos and commitment to quality and innovation. The modified Wharncliffe blade is forged from Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) S35VN stainless steel, considered to be one of the finest blade steels in the world, and one of the first designed specifically for knife blades. This CPM stainless steel construction provides improved strength and wear resistance which means the blade holds its edge longer than lesser steels, reducing the need for frequent sharpening.

A jimped blade flipper deploys and locks the modified Wharncliffe blade with an audible click. An innovative secondary locking feature (SLF) in the Rigger’s precision-machined frame lock can also be engaged, preventing accidental blade closure, even in the harshest of environments and during demanding use. A flick of the thumb disengages the SLF, allowing quick, controlled blade closure, with or without gloves.

The modified Wharncliffe blade edge has a distinct distal taper and slight belly that enhance ease of sharpening, maintenance, and overall utility. The primary grind / bevel decreases weight while maintaining blade strength and rigidity. The straight dull back curves slightly with an abrupt downward edge near the tip, creating an aggressive point for piercing and detailed work.

The titanium pocket clip features a hollow pocket clip screw for lanyards and can be removed or reversed with a slotted screwdriver for easy disassembly and cleaning. At 7.59 inches open and 4.52 inches closed, it is an ideal size for everyday carry, yet large enough to handle demanding field tasks. The Rigger also comes with a custom high strength, injection-molded, weather-resistant case that’s internally lined with soft foam. When not housing the Rigger, the crush-resistant case serves as a storage box for small tools, ammo, or anything else that will fit.

The Magpul Limited Edition Frame Lock will be offered in a series of short, serialized production runs, making these unique knives highly collectible. Availability of the first of these runs will be announced in spring 2019.

Tango Down Licenses AK Magazine Design to XTech Tactical

January 3rd, 2019

Mesa, AZ

XTech Tactical, an innovative firearms accessory manufacture based in Mesa, AZ announces the company has reached terms with Tango Down on a licensing deal. Here is the background of the licensed technology:

Around 2002, Tango Down released its AR/M4 ARC Magazine which featured a waffle pattern on its side walls and tread patterns on its front and rear. There were never any patents related to the features. That product continues to be sold today, and it is one of the strongest magazines available for the AR/M4 platform.

Around 2008, Tango Down designed and developed an AK magazine using the same waffle and tread features present on its ARC magazine. Due to the erroneous claims made by Century Arms against XTech Tactical in their common law trade dress lawsuit, XTech Tactical is announcing that it has licensed the rights to all IP related to the AK magazine formally known as the US palm AK30, from Tango Down. Tango Down designed the magazine and has never sold the design to any party including US Palm.

XTech Tactical does not require these rights or any rights from an outside party for its MAG47. “Tango Down has been a strong ally to our company, and we are very thankful for their cooperation during this time!” stated Jeremy Deadman, XTech Tactical’s Director of Sales and Marketing.

Century Arms has stated it acquired US Palm in March of 2018 after signing a terms sheet with US Palm’s owners in January of 2018. Century Arms previously had filed trademark applications on the US Palm name and logo in August of 2017. In September of 2018, Century Arms filed and announced its first lawsuit against XTech Tactical, which was voluntarily dismissed by Century Arms.

Surprising to XTech Tactical, Century Arms then refiled in Arizona adding an AK Grip for which XTech Tactical is solely one of several dealers. Century Arms also added one of XTech Tactical’s owners as a defendant. This second suit is still active in Arizona.

XTech Tactical will be releasing several new products leading up to and at SHOT Show 2019 at its booth #4169. “We are believers in a free market that welcomes innovation and encourages fair competition. We will stay true to our core mission of listening to our customers, offering great customer service, and bringing innovation to the market. We could not be more excited for this year’s SHOT Show!” stated Deadman.
