US PALM Battle Belt Dropper
The new Battle Belt Dropper from US PALM just might solve a problem for you. The concept is simple. It is a panel that is covered in MOLLE webbing and provides a short, 3 column wide, dropped section of MOLLE webbing. Since it is covered in MOLLE webbing, you can still attach pouches to it as you would your battle belt, but the dropped section provides an ideal place for mounting a dump pouch.
The knee jerk reaction here is to say if you need something like this, you have too much gear on your belt. However, that is not the only reason to consider something like this. There are times that you may want multiple items to occupy roughly the same space on your belt. For instance, you may want your dump pouch on the same side and very near where your rifle mags are carried. The Battle Belt Dropper would give you the flexibility to mount both on the same belt real estate.
This could solve some problems for some users. Keep your eye on US Palm for details.
KAK SUPER SIG SB-15 Pistol Buffer Tube
I have been watching KAK with a lot of interest since they came out with their original Sig SB-15 Pistol Brace specific buffer tube, the KAK AR-15 SIG SB-15 Pistol Buffer Tube. One thing kept me from trying that buffer tube and that was its requirement to use a modified end plate. Apparently I am not the only one who felt this way and, obviously, I am going to have build another AR pistol because they have now released the KAK SUPER SIG SB-15 Pistol Buffer Tube which has a more streamlined design than the original, is slightly longer (a good thing for AR pistols), and uses a completely standard castle nut and end plate.
It retains the shoulder feature of the original. This shoulder is machined into the tube and is the key to the KAK SUPER SIG SB-15 Pistol Buffer Tube’s functionality. It serves as a hard stop to prevent the SB-15 from sliding forward. It also serves as a stop for the spacers that KAK is now offering to be used to adjust the length of pull of your SB-15.
If you are building an AR pistol and intend to use an SB-15 Not-A-Stock, check out the KAK SUPER SIG SB-15 Pistol Buffer Tube.
Basic Banshee Plate Carrier
The Shellback Tactical Banshee Plate Carrier is now available in a new, lower profile configuration called the Basic Banshee Plate Carrier. It is just like the regular Banshee Plate Carrier except it comes with the internal cummerbund only. The external cummerbund is not included. This saves weights, saves cost, and makes it ideal for those who won’t use the external cummerbund anyway. If you don’t need the additional MOLLE real estate and don’t use side plates, this is the Banshee for you.
