Zero Tolerance 0550 Preview and Special Pricing

I have been carrying a Zero Tolerance 0550 Gen. 2 for a while now and I am working on a full review. So far, I have been extremely impressed. I have owned $500 custom folders that aren’t as nice as this ZT 0550.

Zero Tolerance 0550 Preview

Blade HQ, which is where I bought mine, has special pricing on the 0550 Gen. 2 right now. You can pick one up for $165 which is a killer price on the Gen. 2 version of the 0550. The earlier, Gen. 1, 0550s had a different pocket clip, a detent that was too strong for many user’s tastes, and a few users had some lock issues. The Gen. 2 version has a deep carry pocket clip. the detent tension has been tweaked, and the lock issues have been corrected. There are places out there selling the 0550 for less, but these are either blemished models or Gen. 1 versions.

It sounds strange to say this about a $165 knife, but this is probably one of the better values on the knife market. I don’t know of another knife that offers S35VN steel, a titanium frame lock, a G-10 scale, and this level of fit and finish for this price. In fact, I am not sure you can get anything comparable to the 0550 for twice the price.

Stay tuned for the full review and, in the mean time, check out the special pricing on the Zero Tolerance 0550 at Blade HQ.

Don’t Tread On Me California Patch

Don't Tread On Me California Patch

OC Tactical is now carrying the Don’t Tread On Me California Patch from Black Center Tactical. This patch is being sold to raise funds for the Calguns Foundation which “is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves its members by providing Second Amendment-related education, strategic litigation, and the defense of innocent California gun owners from improper or malicious prosecution.” $1 from each patch will go to the foundation.

New Tourniquet Case and Color Option from Eleven 10

Eleven 10 Slick Front Tourniquet Case

Eleven 10 recently introduced a new version of their Kydex Tourniquet Case. The new version has a slick front that lacks the red cross patch of the original version. Like the previous versions, the new slick front version is available for the SOF TT-W and C-A-T tourniquets.

They also announced that they are adding Ranger Green to their list of color options for their nylon gear.

Fortis REV Free Float Rails at PredatorARMAMENT

Fortis Rail at PredatorARMAMENT

PredatorARMAMENT have been teasing us with pictures (like the one above) of the Fortis Manufacturing REV Free Float Rails on one of their personal builds. These rails are one of the newer options available on the market and they pack a lot of features into a sub-$200 price tag including Picatinny rail at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions on the rail, KeyMod System on the 3 and 9 o’clock rails, 4 QD sling swivel sockets, anti-rotational tabs, and an incredibly light 9.2 ounce weight.

Bipod V2 MOUNT-N-SLOT from IWC

Impact Weapons Components just completed the Extreme Makeover: Bipod Mount Edition. Their new Bipod V2 MOUNT-N-SLOT is a better than their original Bipod MOUNT-N-SLOT in just about every way. It is MUCH smaller, MUCH lighter, and MUCH less expensive.

IWC Bipod V2 1

The new Bipod V2 MOUNT-N-SLOT is so small and unobtrusive that you might just keep it attached to your Magpul MOE Hand Guards, Remington ACR Basic, or Geissele rails even when you don’t need the bipod mounted. The previous Bipod MOUNT-N-SLOT was far too large to consider doing that. It weighs just .47 ounces which is .6 ounces less than the previous version.

Sure, it is smaller and lighter but you are going to really like the price. Check out the Bipod V2 MOUNT-N-SLOT on ImpactWeaponsComponents.com. Don’t forget to use the discount code “triggerjerk” for 5% off your order.
