Matt Jacques of Victory First recently posted a very clever hack that involves some glow in the dark (GITD) tape and an AR-15. It sounds cool already, right?
He places two pieces of GITD tape oriented in a “T” shape on the bottom of his carbine grip. This not only shows the position the carbine in a dark room but it also indicates the orientation allowing the user to quickly locate and index the rifle. Now that is simple and clever!
No trainer has been more involved in the melding of firearm training concepts and every day carry gear, especially as it pertains to carbines, than Matt Jacques. That is a good reason to be excited about what will come out of Victory Wear.
Victory First officially announced today the creation of its lifestyle brand, Victory Wear. Victory Wear, a Division of Victory First will produce lifestyle and apparel items that resonate with the “everyday carry” community.
The debut offerings feature attractive graphics on a variety of American-made T-shirts, decals, and PVC patches. Although some of the themes will be staples within the brand, most will be limited runs. While the initial run is fairly focused, there are over a dozen different themes slated for release before Independence Day.

As a former Marine, I love those brands, but not everyone who carries a gun is a veteran. Now the two are making it official with the announcement of Victory First as a preferred training provider which will, no doubt, lead to some interesting training opportunities especially as it pertains to Vertx’s excellent line of concealed carry bags.

I have been using an Aegis Belt from Ares Gear for a while now and it is the best gun belt I have ever owned precisely because of the buckle. The Aegis buckle makes the belt completely Velcro-free, easy adjust, it looks darn good, and it is easy to thread because one end of the belt is buckle-free. It should work just as well with a high quality leather belt but with a load more refinement.
