Scalarworks Trijicon RMR Mount – LDM/RMR

It was only a matter of time. One of the lightest optics on the market can now be mounted with the lightest QD mount on the market.

EASTON, PA – November 1st, 2016 – Scalarworks, manufacturer of high-performance firearms accessories, is pleased to introduce the Low Drag Mount™ for Trijicon RMR sights; the lightest quick-detach Trijicon RMR mount in existence – weighing only 1.27oz, including sight screws.

The LDM/RMR is a lightweight, low-profile, quick-detach optic mount that is compatible with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails and Trijicon RMR red dot sights. Full product specs and details can be found here: https://scalarworks.com/optic-mounts/ldm-rmr/

Like all Scalarworks Low Drag Mounts™; the LDM/RMR has a monolithic base made of high-strength 7075-T6 Aluminum, and features our proprietary recoil-proof notched thumbscrew with ball detent. It also has the same precision telescoping clamp as our popular Aimpoint Micro, Aimpoint CompM4, and Trijicon MRO mounts, which ensures a repeatable zero with each installation.

The LDM/RMR paired with a Trijicon RM06 weighs less than 2.5oz, making it the lightest Quick-Detach Red Dot sight package in existence. The LDM/RMR is proudly made in the USA, and is available in both Absolute and Lower-Third Co-Witness height variants. Both have a retail price of $149.

Trijicon Accupoint/Accupower Magnification Lever

Trijicon has released the AC20007 Accupoint/Accupower Magnification Lever and it is noteworthy for its extremely compact size and light weight (.29 oz). Unlike most aftermarket levers that are functionally similar, the new AC20007 does not require a full ring structure to wrap around the optic’s magnification adjustment ring. It simply clamps to the nub on the adjustment ring.

If you are considering purchasing one, take note of the optics that it fits:

  • AccuPoint®: TR25, TR26 only
  • AccuPower®: RS20, RS22, RS24, RS29

Battle Arms Development MRO Mount

We’ve been following the development of Battle Arms Development’s .78 ounce Trijicon MRO mount for a while now and I am happy to report that it is now available. This mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. It provides an absolute cowitness and mounts via two cross bolts. It’s a lightweight but durable mount for a lightweight but durable optic.

Now Available – Scalarworks LDM/MRO

Lightweight optics deserve lightweight mounts and the Low Drag Mounts (LDM) from Scalarworks are the best I have used. Their mounts use a clever ratcheting wheel and detent system instead of a bulky lever to create a quick -detach, return-to-zero mount with a weight comparable to the lightest non-QD mounts available.

The LDM/MRO is now available. It features the same telescoping clamp, radically skeletonized design, and updated 7075-T6 construction as the Aimpoint Micro version of the LDM. The mounts weigh in at just 1.11 oz or 1.15 oz for the absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness models respectively.
