Snugpak Stasha at OC Tactical

I have used a few of the Snugpak tents and have generally been pretty impressed with the value they offer. OC Tactical is now offering their Stasha – a lighter, more compressible version of the classic British Basha. It weighs just 13 ounces and packs small enough to fit in a cargo pocket. In addition to its tarp shelter functionality, it can be snapped together into an improvised bivy sack.

MPIL/CAT Trap from Battle Systems LLC and OC Tactical

Battle Systems LLC is now offering a special version of the OC Tactical CAT Trap that is designed to hold the MPIL signal panel. The MPIL/CAT Trap has a minimalist design that allows the user to stow an MPIL directly on the surface of any MOLLE compatible webbing. This is an extremely compact and easy to deploy way to carry your MPIL.

Like the original CAT Trap, the MPIL/CAT Trap will hold a tourniquet and it has a patch of grip material on its underside to increase retention. The MPIL/CAT Trap has the addition of a small loop Velcro field on its exterior to hold IR or visible light reflective patches that are often used in conjunction with the MPIL.

OC Tactical Vietnam Tiger Stripe Christmas Stocking

It seems that every tactical gear maker rolls out a “tactical” Christmas stocking around this time of year. The best makers find a way to set theirs apart. OC Tactical is known for offering a wide variety of rare camo patterns across their line of gear and they are especially known for their use of Tiger Stripe patterns. It is only fitting that they have released a limited Vietnam Tiger Stripe Christmas Stocking.

This stocking isn’t just a pretty face. It is made with OC Tactical’s typical attention to detail and quality. The exterior is constructed from older production cotton twill fabric and it is fully lined with Litelok material on the interior. It also features a loop for handing and loop Velcro for affixing a name tape.
